Tony is truly one of the most underrated players in the NFL...

Put him in the HOF!

Tony has been waiting too long already. This is at least the third time he was a semifinalist.

Who ever 'underrated' him?  The only thing that has ever been questioned is his longevity, or lack thereof.

I'm making loud noises.  I hope it makes your head hurt worse.

I remember that game!

I will never understand the short career argument. If that was a reason not to put him in the HOF, why does Jim Brown have a bust?
Because Jim Brown played 9 years and was the all time leading rusher in league history for years after his retirement, an 8 time All Pro and is the only guy to average 100 yards rushing a game in league history?

Not the best comparable. Try Dwight Stephenson instead. An OL who started 87 games to Boselli's 90. Same number of Pro Bowls. Neither won a Super Bowl, if that matters.
Good comp. Relatively short careers, both on their respective All Decade team. Stephenson started at Center in 3 AFC title games, Boselli started in 2 AFC title games.

Never winning a Super Bowl obviously does not matter.

The name Dwight Stephenson is not familiar to me.

Duuuuuuuuuurrrr
Did anyone else read Tony Boselli will call radio coverage of the Super Bowl for Fox/Westwood One? For that reason he was at a Falcons practice.

He deserves it. What hurts is a small market and limited career.
What I think is overrated are okay to good players who have very very long careers and get lots of stats but who were never the top of anything in their careers. Hines Ward comes to mind. He never led the league in anything, never a first team all pro, more sub 1000 yard years than 1000+ but he did this for like 12 years during the most pass happy era in NFL history and this guy is being considered for the HoF? It's basically the same career stats as Derrick Mason.

I respect players who were dominant for a shorter number of years more than good players who just hung around forever.

Hines ward also was the backbone of the team for many years. Pitt had a medicre running game for along while.

As well as below level line.

Playmakers will always be looked at for HOF.

You could not be more wrong. Green Bay is the smallest market in all professional sports and has the second-most representatives in Canton. So being in Jacksonville obviously has nothing to do with it. The "limited career" complaint is crap. Have you ever thought about how many other players get in the HOF after short careers? One of them is Packers RB Paul Hornung. Yep - a very small market and injury-shortened career, but he got in because he deserved it. No excuses to keep Tony Boselli out of Canton.

Good God I cannot wait for you to go away again. And I've been off the board for a week!
