Quote:Couldn`t the same be said for Running Back when it comes to our Quarterback play?
If your QB is really bad no. But i know you mean bortles and im not about to have the "is bortles good" discussion so we can pass on that

Never said Bortles was good he's inconsistent at best. Hes also had no run game and a bad OLine and has just as much potential turn it around as McCarron has of playing well enough to be worth a pick in the first 3 rounds.

To sum it up both are a waste of time but at least Bortles is already on the roster and won't cost us an extra pick in the draft.
We need someone who is going to push Bortles and Henne is not that guy. If Dave ends up keeping Henne, he needs to be fired on the spot.
Quote:i wouldnt want him starting right away. This is an idea for an immediate starter. Mahomes is dope though, i hope he gets the right situation cause he could be really good.
You trade two high draft picks for a guy you don't intend to start?  I'm not sure why teams aren't lining up to hire you as their GM.

Mahomes is the one who wouldnt start. No one is talking about trading for him.
McCarron can throw a football. Bortles can not.

McCarron is a winner. Bortles is a loser.

I wouldn't mind giving up a 3rd round pick.

Of course you wouldn't. The Bengals would though. They already turned down a 2nd and a 4th last year for McCarron.
I notice peeps here are quick to rag on McCarron, but every time I watch him I like him. I totally think he's worth a 3rd rounder to replace Henne and compete with Allen for the backup role.

Agreed. Id be willing to give a 3rd rounder so he can compete with Blake

BUT, Dave will not be doing that.
Of course he would. But knowing the bengals would not.

This will all be a moot point when Blake comes back next year and tears it up.  I think his work ethic is very strong and he's serious about fixing his game this offseason.
