Henne is too easy. I'll say Gus(4-13), Fisch, Scobee. All were trash.
Quote:This loss falls on the head coach.

He didnt adjust and Chip Kelly did.

Pretty much this.

As well as not going for the jugular in the 2nd Q when up 17-0. They became complacent with the score at that point and played not to lose with dinking and dunking and running the ball.

Another TD or 2 at that point would have been too much for any team to overcome.

Yeah, the burden of the loss falls on Gus and I'm sure he would fully admit the same thing.  He's a good coach, we'll get there.  It's not going to happen early this year with Henne starting though.

I agree, Gus has a part in this, only because he will not pull the trigger on Bortles.  I do not buy into this Bortles will get ruined thing.  He is not Gabbert, in any form/fashion.

Sorry, while I agree that Henne had mistakes out there.  I'm putting the failure of the offense on Fische for his bad playcalling primarily.  Secondly, Marcedes dropped a key ball on 4th down that would have kept the Jags in the game during the 4th Quarter.

That ball was on Henne.  It went right over Lewis' outstretched fingertips.  How do you throw too high for a 6'6 TE?
Fisch for not knowing that Henne sucks, so when he's hot, put your foot on the gas until the wheels fall off.

Agreed with the philosophy of putting your foot on he gas until it stops working.

The Jags didn't do that.

Once up 17-0 in the early 2nd, they offensive playcalling had a marked shift. They were fine with dinking and dunking at that point and calling a "not to lose" game instead of going for the jugular with continued PA shots downfield.
Why do people keep saying Gus Bradley is a good coach? Right now he sucks. He has an awful record and is a bad in game coach. Does nothing to counteract adjustments being made by other coaches and comes up with none of his own. A lot to be disired from a NFL head coach.

He sure doesn't look like a future Belichick type, thats for sure. More rah rah than cerebral. Kinda like another defensive minded HC we used to have.
I love this halftime adjustment rubbish... How do you know?

It's funny that more talented teams always "adjust" at half time. Maybe they just stopped turning the ball over?

I agree. I'm not fooled by the rah rah and his lisp enthusiastic high energy interviews like majority of the people. I can see that this guy is no Bill Walsh and were not going to win a Super Bowl ever with this guy at coach.

Pulitzer Prize winning material right here.
Bradley needs a chance, you think a cerebral coach can win consistently with this bunch?
Quote:Chad Henne for the dozens of bad throws even on the 2 TD passes to Hurns. They were passes he had to turn around and adjust to.

Chad also still had passes batted at the LOS when facing a blitz on multiple occasions.

LOL anyone who said Henne...

Donkey of the game goes to the "fan" that wasn't encouraged by what they saw overall.

LOL... you mean the Belichick who just lost to Miami...

He rushed the throw because of the pressure, and missed the touch.  Put too much on it.

You and FBT...like clockwork around here.

Henne played as usual.  Inconsistent, passed batted down, etc.

The guy is asked to do too much when being a full time starter.  He's not capable of sustaining a high level of play for an entire game, I swear.

Maybe I was overly anxious while I was watching that fourth down, and I did jump out of my seat...  But it looked to me that Marcedes got his hands on it...  You are right, the ball was lofted pretty high, I do remember that.  But it seemed to me that Marcedes had a chance at it...

Am I mis-remembering this?

Pfft... he played well enough to win.  He didn't part the waters for their draw up the middle for the score, nor did he ask Prosinksi to blow coverage so badly for a second.

The New Usual SuspectsTM seem to have canned their responses well in advance no matter what actually happens on the field.  Predictable, and will be interesting to continue to watch going forward.

It would have required a circus catch, but didn't have to.
