Quote:Who could it be other than Henne? Aside from the final garbage time drive he had thrown for like 60 yards in the second half. Thats inexcusable for a NFL qb. Its pathetic. But its who he is.
48 to be exact

Definitely played well enough to win
Pirkster:

Yes or no, was the QB play throughout todays game acceptable to you?  Was the 2nd half with Chad Henne acceptable?  Was that good QB play?  Bad QB play?
Quote:I nominate the idiots on the msg board going all negative nancy on everything that went wrong.

we played good one half and bad the second not any individule but the whole team including coaches.

last year we didnt even play good in one half untill the Denver game.

lets give it more then one game most of yall predicted less then 6 wins this season and when we lose you are all nuuuuuuuuuuu.

with what i saw today i can see us challenging for the division this year and winning more then 6 games. but then im an optimist. :teehee:
Why are you talking about last year? Who cares about that? I get you and the other losers like moral victories but not the whole fan base does. If we were gonna intentionally suck this year wasn't no need in signing free agents.
Chad Henne's YPA today 6.2

Sorry, but thats not playing well enough to win.

clueless
Quote:Sorry, but he did play well enough to win the game.

The defense, and running game did not.

You simply can't handle the truth, because you don't want to hear it.

He played well enough to win the game....in the first half.

In the second half, he could not move the ball to save his life. He had three passes that were dropped, but the rest was 100% on him.

You're going to put the loss on the defense that was on the field every 90 seconds in the second half? What, you expected them to continue to shut out one of the most prolific offenses in the league?

You've got it twisted, brother. The defense did enough to win the game, but as usual, the offense hung them out to dry.
Quote:A better TE would have caught that pass.

However a better QB would have also thrown a better pass...

Vernon Davis/Jimmy Graham/Julius Thomas/Jason Whitten could NOT have caught that pass.

It was even a wonder Lewis got two hands on it.
I hate to say it, but Bradley and Caldwell for feeding us this crap about Chad Henne giving us the best chance to win. Blake should be playing.

Quote:Gus Bradley.  He's more of a rah rah, motivator coach and doesn't know anything about x's and o's and making adjustments.
I don't know if you know this, probably not by the level of ignorance in your post, but Gus did coach the best defense in the league.
My donkey is Alualu. Piss poor effort on that 4th down play. They ran right at him. Get in your stance and fire off the ball for once. Make a play. Do something useful.
Gus Bradley and FBT.

I'd bet they all would have caught that pass.... along with Pitta, Ertz, Olsen, Rudolph, Bennett, Gronk, Cameron, et al
