Cecil Shorts=Miles Austin but without Austin's production, the guy has more soft tissue injuries than anyone.

Me thinks this injury will 100% heal when Gus gives Blake the keys to the offense.

I'm not so sure Shorts being out with an injury should be considered 'news' any longer...

Also being reported that it's his other hamstring...
Variety being the spice of life and all.

The problem with multiple hammy injuries is eventually it zaps some of your explosiveness; Miles Austin is an example of that. CSIII has never been an overly explosive athlete to begin with, so there are some definite long term concerns there.

Per Ryan O'Halloran:

Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts was unable to finish practice today because of left hamstring tightness, coach Gus Bradley said.

During the portion of practice open to the media, Shorts caught passes from the quarterbacks but was in a stationary stance. The practice wasn’t in pads, but Shorts did have his helmet with him.

“It was more precautionary on our part,” Bradley said. “He just had a little bit of tightness. We were looking at possibly giving him [today] off and we said, ‘Let’s go out there and see how it feels.’ Then we said, ‘Let’s not do it.’”

Bradley added: “He ran and was feeling good and then said he was feeling tightness and we said, ‘That’s it.’ That’s what I’m hoping anyway. In talking to him, it doesn’t feel like [the prior injury].”

The prior injury was a right hamstring on July 25 that sidelined Shorts until Aug. 17.

If Shorts can’t play or is limited, the Jaguars would be left with four healthy receivers, three of whom are rookies (Marqise Lee, Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns). Robinson just returned from his own hamstring injury on Monday.

Please don't sign this guy to a long term contract at this time.

Yeah, but I'm so wrong to not want to give him the 2nd contract....
First it's "he's a robot. cut him"
but you were wrong and he was the only decent receiver on the roster the past 2 years
Then it's "trade him while he has value"
but he has very little value to anyone else - especially with the injuries
Then it's "they'll overpay him - don't offer a contract"
only - it's doubtful anyone is going to pay him big money with the injury concerns
Yeah. Don't break your arm...
