See the sequence above.
Quote:We haven't had a success story at the WR position since Mark. If the numbers are the case. Let everyone put the same numbers on as the 99' team. 14-2 here we come!
We haven't had a success story at the QB position since Mark either. DG had the one great season, but that's it really.

I'm pretty sure the QB situation has more to do with the success of our receivers than the numbers they were wearing.
Mike Sims Walker was afflicted in #81, #11, AND #15.

He was much better with 81.

I believe once MSW left the 80s he became more obsessed with his flashy rims than football.
Although with the 11, there was more glimpses of that wacky "Choppa City Juke".

Only the left handed ones were good.
We should trade Bortles for a left hander.

Maybe Bortles can learn to play lefty.
These are the gems of the ineternet. Why I've always loved reading this board.

As did I.
Quote:Pretty much every WR we have had that has chosen a number in the teens has been either a flop on the field, injury case or had off field problems.
11 Mike Sims Walker
11 Reggie Williams
18 Matt Jones
14 Justin Blackmon (sspd)
18 Ace Sanders (sspd)
19 Ernest Wilford
am I forgetting any?
Ernest wilford was awesome, he made the most of what he had. Putting him with those other losers is shameful.
I wouldn't go so far as to call Wilford awesome, but I do agree he did a lot with what he had compared to other squandered talents this team has had.
Quote:Keyshawn Johnson played during the same years they did and his number was 19.
He didn't play for this team.
The bad mojo lies with THIS team and the WR numbers in the teens.
If all our bad receivers wore a different number, they would be in the HOF by now. Its not because of their skill, that has nothing to do with it. Its because the threads on their jersey were stitched into a certain pattern.
Now after you read my above post and laugh at the lunacy of it, remember that one person here TRULY believes it.... instantly wipes that smile off your face and you begin to fear for humanity.

There are lots of NFL fans and actual players that abide by a superstitious nature.
You're dead wrong if you don't think there have been instances of NFL players choosing certain numbers because they felt they were lucky or that other numbers were unlucky.
So get off your high horse.
