:woot: .....too easy

Apparently the Montreal Alouettes have Sam's rights, so he could potentially team up with Chad Johnson if he chooses.

Reports are stating that he won't get picked up on a practice squad because teams are trying to prepare for Week 1 and don't want the distraction that adding him to the PS would bring.   How ironic that news medias such as ESPN who preach the almighty are actually preventing their success.  Sam would be on a team if the media treated him like a late round pick.  Quick:  Name the Rams 2nd pick in the 1st Round.

Aaron Donald.

Did that without looking it up!

Preach the almighty?

Careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

He drew both positive and negative attention, especially from those who wished to carry the flag for him.

From the beginning, this was his journey.  Instead of simply watching it unfold, it became something much bigger that the media chose to parade.  That makes another first to greatly disappoint them in recent times.

Rather than allow him to succeed on the merits of his football skills, they made it about something completely different. There's lots of egg on a lot of faces in the media.
It looks like Jerry Jones is giving Sam a shot. Jerry has never been one to shun the spotlight, this may be a good situation for Michael Sam. If he can't win a spot on that horribad defense, there may be no hope for him after all.

The man can play! His 3 sacks in the preseason against NFL talent proves it. His 11.5 sacks agains SEC talent proves it. The deterrent is he's an undersized DE with a lot of media attention.

Undersized, weak, and slow. Does that sound like the recipe for success for an NFL Defensive End? I don't.

At the combine, Micahel Sam put up 17 reps of 225.

At the combine, 7 Wide Receivers put up 18+ reps of 225.

Are there any rostered NFL defensive lineman that put up less than 18 reps of 225?

Good for Sam.  He'll be the star of the practice squad.
He's not auditioning for the combines. He's playing football. He got 3 sacks in the NFL in his only games. Only 3 other players got more than him in the entire league. You're talking about maybe 150 defensive ends in the league and only 3 beat him in sacks! Good grief. He was the SEC co-defensive player of the year, supposedly the best conference in the country, against the best talent going to the NFL. It's absurd to think he's not NFL caliber when  guys like David Bass from Missouri Western State, or Mario Addison from Troy, make a roster but the gay guy does not.

Once again, he is:

-Weak

-Slow

-Undersized

Do you think that sounds like a recipe for success for a Defensive End? Would you be willing to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars on a weak, slow, undersized player?

You're acting as if Michael Sam is the first underwhelming player to ever have a good preseason. He isn't.

You're acting as if Michael Sam is the first player to ever be good in college but not the NFL. He isn't.

You can continue having a pity party because your LGBT savior is not on an NFL roster, but the rest of us will recognize that he just doesn't have the size, strength, and speed needed to play his position at this level.

Ride'em Cowboy haha

I wish I knew how to quit you..
So wait... where's the LGBT Mafia attacking the Rams for cutting Sam that we heard so much about?

Cowboys? Broke back Mountain? Coincidence? QB called Romo the... ... Better quit now as the flamethrowers reload.

Most of them are realizing that Sam is an undersized, slow, weak player and lacks the tools to play the position he was drafted for at the NFL level.

Only the idiots are still claiming otherwise..... (see: some in this thread)

Sam is a defensive end...but I don't see him being all the defensive with it. Kind of ironic.

But he does come off the edge well and loves to sack QBs, pounding them hard as he wrestles them to the ground.

He could end up being a great Cowboy...the land of steers and...dang it Internet went out.
I feel bad for the kid. He deserved a shot, but he really wasn't helping himself with that reality show thing.

That sealed his fate, if he wanted to be treated normal (and he is normal), he shouldn't have tried to benefit from being normal.

He is normal.

Now headed to Dallas ... Be normal Michael, that is all. AND stay the hell away from the media that wants you treated different, you ARE NOT.
