Quote:Ok, let's just let this cat out of the bag ( another JW reference?)

That's how I know your real name is Sharon Cox. And you know my real name Mr Bean.

Why did you have a cat in a bag? That's cruel to the cat and not at all funny.!!! I don't have time for such silliness!!!
Anyone suggested Tinder?

Yes
Quote:Do you think you're gonna find a lot of dates while you're still married and in the situation your still in??? You got a lot of other ducks you need to line up before you sign up on dating sites...especially since you still want your wife back!

Everything is lined up at the moment. Now date sites can be used for several different reasons. My reasons in particular were just to make friends and maybe one day more. I won't hide the fact I'm still married if i get asked. There's a reason that we are for now. When I said I would fight to get her back, that is the past tense now. Each day, I can tell she's getting more and more comfortable with her new lifestyle. For example here's a few things that my wife NEVER did or HATED to do: She would never walk, run, or go to great lengths to not be rained on. She also NEVER wore a skirt, like ever. With this new chick, she's freaking jogged in the pouring down rain happily and just yesterday bought a skirt. And it looked real nice. We still have a good relationship which is important to make the process overall the easiest for the kid, but that got me a bit on the sad side. So I'm lonely now. I'm 700 miles from my nearest relative or friends I grew up with, but because of the things I'm trying to accomplish in my career, I have to stay put and fight through it. So why not?

i met the first girl tonight. Wasn't bad at all, she was a bit simplistic which ain't bad, but I want someone who would like to travel as much as me in a few years. Or go hiking/canoeing. But she might make a good friend.

As long as you're honest/ forthcoming with her, no problem with the above. Don't lead her on if you think she wants more than just being a friend. You're probably best off being just friends with her at this point anyway, TBH....

Okay...as long as you're moving on and are honest with people, I don't see anything wrong with it.

And as far as your wife and her new interest goes, she's "changing" herself for someone.....that's always works out. Rolleyes
Come on now, you heard me pour my heart out on the board. Surely that would give some indicator that I am an honest man.

The whole "if they ask" when talking about that you're married part kind seems a little less than forthcoming....
If they ask refers to if they ask. There will be a point where I would of course tell them. I'd rather do it sooner than later. But if they ask on the first meeting then obviously I'm not going to lie.

Quote:Meeting strangers on the internet is only slightly more risky than meeting them in person, as long as you eventually meet them before making any type of commitment.

Personally, I can't stand bars and don't attend church. The few trustworthy friends I have are married and mainly associate with married couples. I live in a very rural area. It's worked for me, to a degree.

I'm not promoting seclusion or marathon internet sessions, just common sense. My only concern for BigJag57 is that he is searching now, just while he's getting used to a very different set of circumstances.

Agree with that last part. Awfully soon to be hitting dating sites.

You should be the one the tell them your situation...they shouldn't have to be the one to ask you if your married. You are the one on a dating site. Most married people aren't out looking for dates.
In reality, you shouldn't be cruising dating sites at this point, but that's just me. Your child is going to be the one suffering as the parents are both off focusing on their needs first. Awfully selfish if you ask me.

...sounds like a gf I used to date....oh...she would act like she was the most honest person in the world...problem is, she operated just like what you are saying up there - if I didn't ask about things -specifically - she wouldn't tell. Thats called being deceitful. And she always had a way to "stretch/ or bend" the truth to fit her way so that in her mind, she wasn't lying.

Omission is as much a lie as lying itself. If you can't be completely honest with your mate, it's destined to fail.

Yeah...someone's getting lost in the middle of all this.

The only problem is, "old school" to many on this forum is like "so 2000".  Laughing
