Imagine a football field.

Now, imagine a chair next to the field.

You lost me at chair.

Go back and imagine the field. You must focus for longer than 12 seconds in order for this to come to fruition.

Neat picture I grabbed from the video Smile

I want the refs to ride on Segways during the game.

Funny you should say that, here is a story from a (poor) UK newspaper:

Any chance you can grab a photo of the Proposed Shipyards?
Quote:Khan is willing to develop the land. The plans they showed today (I'm sure the renderings will be posted at some point soon) include an indoor / outdoor practice facility on the land.  There would also be retail, hotels, restaurants, and possibly some sort of tourist attraction like a world class aquarium.

There are plans already well underway, and there are companies who have indicated they would participate including names everyone here would recognize.
That's really cool.. seems like he is really building up Jacksonville in addition to the Jags. I want to move to Jax but i'd imagine it's really expensive but that won't stop me from applying for a few jobs/grad school's out there.
I can totally see Ed Hochuli riding up on a Segway to break up a fight.

Jacksonville isn't really an expensive part of the state to live in.

Nice to see they worked Shad's yacht into the picture.
If you look really closely you can see him and Dave dancing on the party deck.

Quote:$350 a game they can be yours.
Believe it or not but $350 is not a lot of money for a court side seat.

That land is all vacant.  Plenty of opportunities to create parking, plus you've got the entire parking lot between the stadium and the baseball grounds and the arena.  There isn't a shortage of parking there.

Thanks Swaguars! That's now my new cover photo on Facebook Smile

Quick question.

As a fairly new fan (I started following the team in 2007, but the first few years where learning the sport itself) how did it get so bad?

Watching these videos, everything was in decline when Shad got here. Did anyone try to do anything about it? Obviously the on-field play wasn't great and the GM situation wasn't either but did anything else impact into this? And why where bad GMs allowed to rule for so long?

Thanks FBT - almost like being there.

Great info. Hard not to get fired up.

Consistently bad drafting by 2 former GMs put the team in the position it is today.  Shack Harris was still riding the coattails of Tom Coughlin.  When that talent got too old, he didn't do an effective job of rebuilding.  A couple of hits, and a  lot of misses in his drafts.

Gene Smith wsas promoted when Harris was fired, and he took ineptitude and set a new standard.  If you look at the current roster, you'll be hard pressed to find any of his draft picks still around.  A couple of stalwarts, but they occupy only a handful of spots on the roster today.
