Im happy with Bortles, but I also think Bridgewater will have a successful career.
I think "crap" may be a bit harsh don't ya think?
Unless you weren't talking about my comments about him.

Seriously that is disgusting. If anyone here is crapping on TB you need to get some help. Just gross.
Quote:looks like in the end, they weren't close at all. I know what you mean, because the media made them out to be almost toss-ups.
Bortles was by far the best of the bunch. I firmly believe that Cleveland getting Johnny and Minnesota getting Teddy were just consolation prizes... they all had Bortles ranked #1.
Cleveland no doubt. They were quick to take the trade down once Bortles was off the board. The trade was announced not even a minute after the Jags made the pick. I truly believe they would've taken Bortles if he was available.
Just imagine how Manzy is gonna struggle in the cold

Not really. The guy is being declared a bust by fans everywhere. Lets wait and see what he does.
Bridgewater's best trait was decision making. It was "elite" in college.
So i would disagree with the idea that nothing about him was elite.

If his decision making was "elite" he would of thrown at the combine and used a glove on his pro day!

True, but I was talking about football

"Do women know about shrinkage?"
"What do you mean, like laundry?"
"No..."
"Like when a man goes swimming... Afterwards..."
"It shrinks?"
"Like a frightened turtle."
"Why does it shrink?"
"It just does."
"I don't know how you guys walk around with those things."
For some reason I thought of this.

But he played in a very simplistic offense admitted by his strongest supporters. The offense was taylor-made to showcase Teddy's strengths (short to intermediate passing, 5-15 yard passes) and to mask his weaknesses (16-20+ yard throws). What happens when he's thrown into a Norv Turner offense that calls for field stretching passes, which happens to be his weakness? And we're not even factoring the less than ideal weather conditions Teddy will be faced with in that division.

Just because we didn't take Teddy, there is no need to twist the facts. He played in an extremely complex pro-style offense at Louisville that required him to make multiple pre-snap reads and handle the blocking assignments. Norv's offense will be an excellent fit for Bridgewater and I suspect that initially he will have the best returns of any of the rookie QB's.

Twist the facts? He played in an incredibly simplistic run first offense. He wasn't required to be "The guy". Sure he could check out of the play but so could Garrard at East Carolina.
I'm sorry but I'm not that easily impressed.

His offense was anything but simplistic, I'm not really sure what you're talking about. There isn't anyone in college last year who was asked to do as much pre-snap as Teddy.

Really?
I'm not even going to argue this point. Any UoL fan or anyone who followed Louisville for more than 1 season will tell you that Shawn Watson's offensive scheme is pretty simple. It played to Teddy's strengths. Cudos for Louisville for realizing this. But now he's going to an offense that requires plenty of downfield passing, which Teddy needs plenty of work on.

How can a person assume he is a franchise QB, and doesn't that loose term get thrown around a lot? I mean if the guy is your starting QB isnt he the franchise QB if no real question exists as to replacing him with a backup which doesnt mean he's an elite QB in the NFL which is really want you would want drafting #3 overall. I hope he isnt Blaine Gabbert which many of us fear, especially since that was a great draft class like this one.

It was an opinion given by a respectable coach?
I hope he's right, either way the offense is much improved after this draft.
