This was great

Last year, they signed a bunch of guys right away in free agency, but also invited guys in right away for "tryouts".  It was difficult to tell the difference at this time last year, as even the invitees would put on their twitter accounts that they signed with or are now a Jag.  

So we didn't get Jones?

In addition to his behavior, he showed up big as a whale to the combine and tanked it.  Probably had the munchies from all the smoke.  Admitted to everyone at the combine he was going to fail the drug test because of smoke.  IIRC he had a boatload of personal fouls his final year, too.

 

With UDFAs, you really aren't risking anything (only your pride if they beat out someone you spent a draft pick on.)  I was hoping we would take a shot but never expected it to happen with Gene.

It's basically the entire NCAA recruitment/signing period/signing day all wrapped up into about 4 hours. Whole lot of committing, decommitting, etc. before all is said and done. 

Quit playing with my emotion. Christian Jones is a huge signing for us if its true.

The Official Twitter feed of FSU Football is reporting Jones to the Jaguars. Not sure what Alfie knows or how he knows it.

Ever wonder if Alfie just Googles "jaguars undrafted signing twitter" and reports anything he sees as if he was the first to hear about it?
