I'm a fan of Fournette, but I hope this is true. This draft is too deep at RB imo to take a guy top 5. Doesn't sound like any RB will be in consideration for us at the top (For the Dalvin lovers).

He also says that he hears that we aren't sure if we want to stay in the top 5.

Will be interesting. If we get an offensive minded HC I think that's a strong possibility.

With Blakes' future up in the air, trading back a bit to get more ammunition to possibly move into the late 1st to grab a QB may be possible. Or hell, if we want a guy like Jimmy G, we could move back, pick up a 2nd, and deal that extra 2nd to get him.

This next coach will have a large impact on everything.

c dub wont like this
What about Cook/Fournette and McCaffrey combo

Sounds like Dave might be interested then, Dave never tips his hand. One thing i have learned about Dave

Every team in the top 5 tells people that they are open to moving it. Seriously, every year it's said.

I'm fine with whatever we do, but would I prefer to get a stud like Jon Allen? Damn right.

You also think we should have traded back instead of nabbing Jalen Ramsey last year. So I guess it depends what you value. I'll take the top end all pro level talent like Ramsey all day.
At this point, it hasn't mattered if the jags have drafted who i wanted or who i didnt want, nothing is working. im just hoping for a good coaching hire and im gonna stop worrying so much about the rest because we all dont have much say anyway.

while you take the 1 player, give me the 2 studs. As deep as this draft is in the 2nd round you just have no faith in your scouting dept. if you dont think you can find a future building block at the top of the 2nd. I guess were we different opinions is you think Allen is night and day better than a player you could get at say the 7th pick. Give me the 7th pick and Cle 2nd

Guarantee me two studs with the two picks we get, than obviously yeah, I'm taking 2 studs.

The more likelyhood where it's 1 stud vs a good player+lotto ticket in the 2nd, give me the 1 stud.

But yeah, I think we clearly have a different perception of Allen. I think he's right there with Garrett as a player, but obviously prefer Garrett due to edge rusher where we are more needy. I think Jon Williams can play 5T/3T and be an absolute force for us. We passed on Leonard Williams a couple years ago because of Marks and Odrick. Look at how that turned out...not that Odrick when he plays isn't a very solid player/Marks isn't still good, but don't pass on an elite talent because of what you have in some vets. You just never know what'll happen.

Plus, Odrick likely is out after this year. Alualu has been very solid this year, but he's better as a rotational guy than starter. Jon Allen next to Malik and Yannick with hopefully Fowler being moved around/improved pass rush moves over the offseason with Jack and Telvin at LB? That's a beast of a front 7 (not sure what happens with Poz/If Jack moves into MLB and we need a new SLB).

.  Picks 1-6  At least one team has traded out 5 of the last 6 years

Wentz with Eagles, Gabbert with Jaguars, Goff with Rams, and Browns moved up a single spot to secure Trent Richardson while not giving up that much are just some off the top of my head.

Like I said, it's generally for QB's. If the QB's show out and their stocks soars than maybe we get something nice, but right now like I said, most are saying the worst since 2013.

Dolphins traded up for DE in 2013 and Atl traded up for a WR in 2011.  trades at the top happen almost every year.

Dave always falls in love with certain players.  He has had 4 drafts and with as many needs we have had those years he hasnt traded back once.  So its safe to say he probably wont do it again.  To be fair though he has had a couple successful times where he traded up though.

Yeah, A-Rob and Linder right?

I'm not opposed to a trade down but I think if Garrett or Allen are there, you take them. If it's Adams or another nice edge rusher that flew up boards, you think hard about it. I just don't like trading down when there's an obvious elite talent lying there like I view Allen and Garrett to be. Just like what I felt like with Ramsey last year.

It will be interesting to see how the new Jaguars HC influences Dave Caldwell's draft related personnel decisions and overall personnel decisions.    A proven winning HC could easily have a major influence on how Caldwell proceeds in 2017 and beyond.

If we get Coughlin there's no doubt about this.

Not sure if a guy like McDaniels, Haley, or Smith will or not. I mean of course they'll have a say in all of these things, but just how much? Not sure. Even more so if we go the coordinator like Anthony Lynn, Shanny, or Terryl Austin route.

That would make me very happy.
Its december and we dont even have a coach yet weve already decided which prospects were dead set against? Lol this is a crock of [BLEEP]
