I just feel like they let go of Schaub too early without having a replacement planned out. He's a better QB than Fitzpatrick and they could have started him for another year, grabbing a QB in the top 3 rounds to sit behind him.

I don't necessarily agree with that. Schaub was declining and they found a team that would give them a draft pick as well as rid them of his salary. I think Fitzpatrick is about on the same level, but he was cheaper.
Regardless, I think we both agree that their QB situation (and maybe their entire offense) is bad.

Newsflash to those who spit the bit over Minnesota trading up for Teddy like it was some great tragedy... I never wanted him, even if he fell.. I would still pass. Just because you have a need at position doesn't mean you have to overreact and fill it with sub par talent.
Houston will be better on offense than obviously the people in this thread think. However their defense is going to be insane. The QB depth in this draft isn't that much different through rounds 1-4.. with Manziel being the only guy with the potential to reach ST level.. and even he has huge bust potential. Bortles' ceiling is "decent" only. He's physically and mentally tougher than Gabbert and will attempt to throw down field, but another inaccurate QB.

I think Bortles' ceiling is like that of Matt Ryan. Just as a comparison.

Bortles is nothing like Matt Ryan as a prospect.. they are too completely different prospects. One is a statue with a slight build yet is accurate.. the other has a bigger build, can move, yet his accuracy is a weakness.

Accuracy is not a weakness with Bortles. I mean he's not as accurate as Teddy, but Teddy was the draft's most accurate passer. But Bortles' accuracy is fine.
WHile I agree that Ryan / Bortles are different in the mobility dept, I think they are somewhat similar otherwise.
Talk to me in a few years when we see how good Bridgewater is in the NFL and then talk about how you don't care that you were 2 minutes away from securing him with your 2nd rounder.

First off let me say I'm not at all a fan of Mallett, but from a strong arm standpoint he trumps Rodgers and maybe everyone else
Maybe Texans will get desperate for one of the remaining QBs and give up 2015 picks to move up. They pick late in the 4th this year and then not again until the 6th.
