Quote:What the heck are you even talking about? Garoppolo was always projected to go higher than Savage so what's your point?
And please fill us in on why the Pats' "were the one team that you thought would bite" on Savage.. Did it have anything to do with just typing Savage's name into google a few minutes ago and a bunch of articles popped up saying how the Pats liked him? (now the front page just talks about how we took him). LOL, resident G.M., you are so predictable.
You seem a bit nervous....
Jags draft got you on edge?
Texans going to be crap this year. Im predicting 6-10, they were 2-12 with Watt, I'll give them 4 more wins with Watt and Clowney.
got a feeling a mallet trade is incoming
case keenum showed me nothing last year, ryan fitzpatrick can do the job and pick defenses apart but isn't a difference maker and even with a beastly defense I can't see him taking them to the playoffs
if this was the 80's I'd say fitzpatrick could do it as a front including nix watt and clowney is going to be incredible
add a healthy cushing and arian foster to that and it reminds me of the 2000 ravens
I think the Titans got the better QB in Mettenberger (between the Texans and Titans). Tom Savage is too inaccurate.
So texans obviously drafting a QB again next year. future is not looking to bright in houston...
I think Houston goes 7-9 or 8-8 next year. They might even make an attempt at a playoff run, depending on what their QB can do. They lost 6 games last year by less than a touchdown, and 3 of them by a field goal.
Of course this will put them out of reach for whoever the top QB's are next year.

Was just about to post the exact same thing.
Would have loved Mettenberger as a 2nd QB for us in the 6th round.

. I liked him a lot as well, however he was probably flagged by Caldwell on that 36 person red flag list I read about

Theres a good chance he was.

On edge... Hardly
remember who had the upper "edge" over who even during the expansion years
the only people on edge are those with these lame responses that try to steer away from the conversation.

Clowney isn't even the draft pick you should be worried about.. He's not the one who's going to free up Cushing and Watt.

Doesn't this sum up Jacksonville's drafts every other year?

Oh, Mr Invisible in the bowl game...

When's the last time Cushing even stayed on the field?

Mr. Resident G.M. ... are you going to stop skating and answer my question?

Don't worry, I don't think anyone was afraid of seeing Clowney in the 3-4.

The last time offensive players weren't nose diving and blowing out his knee (which would've injured anybody.. league even changed the rules over that hit)... Hence the selection of Nix. That's actually my favorite pick and I like that a lot more and think it'll have more of a impact on the overall defense than Clowney who was selected 1.1
Nix is going to spring Watt and keep and keep Cushing clean and allow him to just roam around

So people aren't afraid to see a natural pass rusher being put into a easier position to rush the passer... OKAY, that makes sense. LOL, reminds me of the fools who said Mario Williams couldn't stand up.. He was on pace for a career year before injury, and the little time he played on his feet led him to become the highest paid player in NFL history despite injury.. Clowney is only going to have to do one thing,.. rush the passer.
Carr tard trolling the Jags board hard on draft weekend

Interesting that besides the entire league passing on Nix 2x, at pick 83 the Eagles, who surely could have used a NT like Nix instead decided to pass on him to trade down to the Texans....
Maybe Nix doesn't project as good as you think in the NFL....
