Someone was looking for TMD's QB touts. One of his early ones was current Edmonton Eskimo Mike Reilly from Central Washington. This guy wasn't a bad bet, he's still in pro football 8 years later. 6-3 230 lbs and still holds the Flathead High School passing record with 2280 yards.

Quote:Are you guys really having a discussion about which QBs a particular poster wanted?

Yeah.  Honestly, it's really odd how much attention is paid to TMD.  He says some stupid things, and some not so stupid things.  I've been caught both agreeing and disagreeing with him at various times.  But somehow every thread manages to have him come up, with people recalling something he said 6 months ago.

And now I've added to it.  Great.

So good. That's what get me. The opinion stated as fact in a condescending tone as if we are all idiots, blessed by the sage that is TMD.

Only a loser would seriously either take the time to search all that out, or save it.

seek a team of psychiatrists, pirk
Quote:Maybe someone can help me here but I'm trying to think of which QB TMD wanted from the recent drafts. I've got teddy, Barkley, mallett, and lefevour right now.

Anyone remember others?

As of now only 1 of those probably has a shot at ever even being a starter for more than a season.

Minus teddy we are looking at career backups or NFL wash outs. Hahahahahahhaha

This clown rarely gets his player "evaluations" correct in general. The buffoon said Arthur Brown is a prime ray lewis clone.

really, cLoWn??

I actually get a lot right. The issue is the clowns always cite the wrong and leave all the correct predictions behind, like Jamaal Charles, Michael Griffin, Calais Campbell, Ray Rice, and on and on.

I never said I don't have misses.

Next to pirk, you're the biggest cLoWn ever.
Do the people who bash TMD for getting his picks wrong ever...and I mean EVER take a stand in favor of a player before the draft?

Knock him for getting some wrong, but at least he takes a stance on a player before the draft.

Many of you guys wont bother to offer a supporting opinion of a player until the Jaguars draft him, then you rubber stamp the decision until the player proves to be a bust or leaves.  Anyone can do that.

The fact is, everyone who offers an opinion of their own on a player is going to get his share wrong.

Even the guys paid by NFL teams to do it.

Lol I can't take you serious.

The beneath good enough? Caldwell seemed to agree. Feel free to remind me if Bortles busts.
Quote:The Jaguars would be [BLEEP] to pass on Bortles. His strengths are the most important needs for a QB, he'll have major success in this league imo.

Then of course after that post bozo proceeded to call me a ucf fanboy.

Taking that at face value, you championed Bortles.

While Caldwell drafted him, and while he looked good the other night, ultimately his success or failure has yet to be determined.

By reminding us of this pick, are you guilty of self promotion?

Have you ever gotten any picks wrong?

Call it self promotion if you want. You called members out for not showing their own predictions and I responded with my most recent one, so whatever. Also didn't say Bortles would be successful...I said feel free to remind me if he busts. If I was TMD like in my Bortles support I would be calling him next Brady/Montana and call anyone that doesn't agree with me an idiot, but if he falls flat on his face then I look [BLEEP]...This is his problem.

He compared Mallet to Marino, Mark Ingram to Emmitt Smith and bashed anyone with a different opinion.

Let's not forget his arrogant/know it all attitude and constant jaguar hate. Constantly bashing players that were selected over his favorites (see Cyprien). He deserves what he gets.

+1 all of that all day.

I mean, I'm of the belief that the place is better off without him than with him, but to dredge up old stuff and to constantly turn every thread into a "this is why you suck" discussion is so adolescent I imagine these guys all having their XBOX headsets on and screaming for their Mom to bring them some chicken.

I don't think the guy makes any good points either but I ain't about to waste my time with him being the centerpiece of my MB effort.

Agree. And they are just doing exactly what he wants them to do. Makes the forum less interesting most of the time.

And that's the worst part for me. I come here to talk football and a little silliness over on the Sideline. When folks just go around with these "barstool diva" and "fry cook" jokes, it just makes the place so much more boring.

I said this in a thread the other day. For the most part, this forum has some interesting people capable of real discussion. But for whatever reason, he is allowed to just crap all over it. He knows exactly what he is doing. He trolls, gets banned, is allowed back, trolls, gets banned, is allowed back and on and on it goes.

Some loser in a crappy apartment 1000 miles away from Jacksonville gets to control this message board. It's weird.

There is a huge, huge difference from when normal posters make predictions on players and when TMD makes predictions on players. The mental gymnastics TMD does to avoid being wrong are preposterous. He will still tell you that Barkley would be Pro-Bowler if it wasn't for injury and that Quinn Gray had All-Pro talent.

Further, after TMD latches to a player, he will tear into the organization for going a different route. He absolutely dogged the Jaguars FO when Matt "3rd string" Barkley wasn't taken with a 4th round pick. In TMD's eyes, that was value that NEEDED to be taken, but the FO didn't agree and thus they were incompetent.

Many of us do, but we don't start threads to point out when we're right. You keep screaming for attention, and you're gonna get it, just not the kind of attention you wanted.
