Quote:My money is on WR OL or DE.
I doubt it's DE, we adressed that way to much in FA to pass on a bigger need like WR/OL
Definitely shocked. I'm behind him all the way.
Anyone suprised with that pick? Good pick for Falcons Imo.

I feel like we repeated a gene smith move but I'm holding out hope bortles is legit an Caldwell really just out smarted every one here.

Jaguars HC Gus Bradley tells me the entire staff felt really good about Bortles, noting it's rare to have such unified feelings on a guy.

Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell tells me he has long been convinced Bortles was his guy. He didn't consider trading down because he had conviction.

I'm gonna cry if Teddy and Johnny Manziel becomes Stars and Blake isnt very good, with Gabbert at least most those other QBs sucked outside of Cam and two 2nd round picks

Bottles trained by Jordan Palmer in the offseason Terrible
I love the pick. Dave is being aggressive and not playing it safe.. He believes in Bortles.. Plus, Lindsey Duke.. Need I say more?
They suckered Houston into the Clowney sweepstakes and took the QB the Texans should have taken. The Texans will probably end up with Zach M. from LSU in the 2nd round and good luck to them.

I was shocked, but I don't hate the pick. I think Bortles was the highest rated QB by the teams. Think its fairly obvious that the Browns would have taken him. Anyone got a pic of him with the jersey?
The browns won't take manziel at9.
Matthews will be remembered as the best tackle in this draft.

I feel so bad for Johnny Jaguar. I'll miss his posts.

Its not fixed long term and there is good depth at DE. I think its least likely of the 3, but if there is a guy they like it makes sense.
I wonder if the Clowney selection played a factor considering that Manziel would've been torn in half by Watt/Clowney.

Well if thats your guy, but I just dont like it, Gene did the same thing, didnt trade down, and over drafted his guy

I do agree that Clowney will likely flop, however, I think Bortles will also flop, and that really sucks.

When we drafted Leftwich and when we drafted Gabbert, we weren't selecting the first QB in the draft.
