...and get a nice return of draft choices, then tanking that 2nd half of last season was clearly the right move. Our meaningless couple wins down the stretch will have done nothing but ruin our chances to do something similar. That could have been us.

Thats whats being talked about right now allegedly....and even IF they don't get that.....IF THAT is the starting point the Texans are talking, then they are still going to get a nice haul from Atlanta....

We already know they were pointless and wasted wins.

 

Once a team is out of playoff contention (and the Jaguars were never in serious contention) then every win is actually a loss for the future.

Not getting sucked into this one. Would advise everyone else to do the same.

What would make it even better is if Houston and Atlanta don't make a deal, Houston drafts someone OTHER than Clowney, and he winds up falling to us, this whole notion of tanking becomes just another idiotic concept you've thrown at the board.

If we start ever season badly should we tank? At what point would you start the tank? Does the HC get involved?

The year to tank would have been the Andrew Luck year.  There would have been no point to do so this season.

I agree. I heard Kubiak bought a log cabin with all of his under-the-table "lose at all cost" money.


Pretty sweet deal. I can only hope Shad and Gus work out a similar scenario.
