Quote:oh okay, well then right click on the picture and find where it says "search google for this image". click on that and it will find the same image but from a different site. Then try that URL.

This forum just doesn't like some website urls for some reason. Try that tho scarecrow.

Appreciate the help JJ.   :thanks:

I'll try that in the future.  This one I couldn't find anywhere else but this was helpful.

I hope we end up with Manziel so you can stick around.

Interesting interview from Cleveland OC Kyle Shannahan on Johnny Manziel.

This statement to me means exactly what it means. Johnny can play from day one cause he can run around and extend plays and that's it. I don't think it means Caldwell believes he is the best qb or can develope into a great qb. He's just a saying he is likely to play from day one over the others.

With that said if Johnny is there in the second and we don't take Bridgewater in the first I'm all for getting him then.
Quote:Funny you didn't highlight this part, as it isn't an endorsement for Manziel but a slight.

Exactly what I thought when I read that.
Quote:I'm not generally a supporter of the Jags drafting Manziel. However, after todays comments I was reminded of when we drafted Denard Robinson.

Remember the stories about Dimitroff knowing that DRob was DC's guy, that he would get him eventually? Was that because of Denard's electric play in collegiate ball? That is something that DRob and Manziel do share, of course from different positions, and with differing notoriety.

How much can hindsight steer DC's decision in this regard? Taking a flyer on a guy in the 5th round is much different than at #3 overall.

The other thing that we should also consider is that DC probably had a 3 year plan coming into last year. He would have scouted last years, and this years QB class to see who he would hitch his horse to, imo. Waiting til year 3 is somewhat risky in todays NFL. The reason I think this is because one shouldn't plan to be picking early after the first year or two, and that's where one would need to be to target a QB, really.

Most likely scenarios I see are taking a QB at 3, or trading back from 3 (6 to 15 position) and taking a QB whereever we land. Trading back up from out 2nd round pick just isn't cost efficient

Those two players in my opinion are totally unrelated but I would like to comment on your other point. Caldwell has said nothing about a 3 year plan. He is not the arrogant guy Gene Smith was and would never predict how fast he could build a team from the ground up. I fully expect Caldwell to draft a qb in round 2-4 and develop them. If a first round qb comes available in future drafts them I see him going that route.

Looking at this team Caldwell would need more than 3-4 years to build anything of substance her. Maybe he gets lucky and has 2 amazing drafts in a row but that isn't plausible.

Just don't put a time frame on this is all I'm saying. You would most likely set yourself up to hate Caldwell in the end.

Good list.

I've heard rumblings of teams like the Bengals drafting a guy like Bridgewater if he were to slide to 24.  Numerous teams need QBs or could upgrade if a guy like Bridgewater or Manziel slide.
I wouldn't mind Manziel but I kinda doubt we draft him

*EDIT* Why do my pictures not show up? Sad

Here's a link since I'm too stooped to get the picture to appear. It's an image ranking the QB prospects based on % of passing yards through the air.

I tried scarecrow. Its not just you.

Quote:Manziel in a Jags jersey, as unhappy about it as I'd be, I could hand. Manziel being compared to Joe Freaking Montana is ludicrous.

Yea, they played together. It's a little different from Tmd comparing teddy bridgewater to Troy aikman or whatever.

I don't know who your source is, but your confidence is intriguing, like Manziel's.
