Not sure but i doubt it. Imo, that is why, regardless of what happens with their talks, he will remain on the team. Why would the jags eat cap space for a guy to go play on another team.
While i understand both sides, i think the bigger loss will be taken by Albert. He isn't going to raise his stock sitting out the year(if that is what it comes to) and while we need all the help we can get up front, i think the jags have some contingencies in pace with Robinson.
I am hopeful Albert realizes the opportunity he has here. We have a solid D. A potential stud RB. A young, but capable WR corps. If this line and QB play improves, we are in a division which is winnable. The stalemate is an annoyance, but nothing really matters til the mandatory practices.

That being said, if he wants to keep playing hard ball, the jags can just eat the money and keep him on the roster until next year. I wouldn't do him any favors by cutting him this season.
If he doesn't show up he doesn't get paid, so the Jaguars don't have to eat any money, their only risk is the pick they traded.
I'm guessing if he doesn't show up the first day for mandatory practice he'll do it on the second day once they inform him of how much salary he just got fined.
Here's a link to BA's instagram. This little video shows him working out on the May 24th, I think he'll be fine.

Yeah - his SM shows a number of pics, video etc of him training at a facility west of Ft.Lauderdale called "FitSpeed." It's a training facility owned by Brandon Marshall (WR) that has specific programs for NFL players and NFL combine prep.
In one of his IG vids he actually has a back and forth with Eugene Monroe in the comments. (ribbing each other about weight/strenth)

I'm surprise Eugene and Albert isn't ribbing each other about who has the best marijuana because in the case of Monroe he's a big advocate of it.

I doubt it. You'll see offset language like this in coach contracts, but not so much in player contracts.

I believe the amount the Jaguars would have to pay would be offset by the salary he makes on his new team.
Albert will be there when it counts.
The rumor mill on 1010XL yesterday afternoon had it that he'd be in town this weekend in preparation for mandatory mini-camp next week, so we'll see.
Plus in a recent presser, Marrone said Albert did talk to him and did say he'd be there for the minicamp. There's still nothing to worry about here unless he shows up out of shape.

Honestly, that seems like a perfectly acceptable thing to do; hold out for the voluntary practices to show you're not entirely happy but be there for mandatory practice. Like Vic used to say; it's professional football, it's about the money. I have no issue with a player wanting more money as long as he's there when the team demands he is.
Although I expected him to eventually show up, it is still a relief. The offensive line has been one of primary reasons that the Jags have struggled so much for nearly a decade. Albert and Robinson should upgrade the line significantly. To me, this position group will be the most interesting to watch during mandatory camp and the rest of the pre-season. Parnell needs to improve or Cam Robinson may end up at right tackle. There are several candidates for the interior of the line with only Linder a definite starter.
Hope he is worth the trade.
