Quote:All of you saying "Welcome Khalil Mack" do realise Mack is a pass rusher right? He wouldn't play LB for us we're not a 3-4 defense. He'd in the LEO spot.
A. realiZe
B. The guy is talented enough to play either LB in a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme, as well as a pass rusher. Some of the guys traits are his speed and coverage ability. He very much could play LB for this team.
Bradley indicated that Khalil Mack could play multiple positions.
I congratulate Allen on being an undrafted success story. I wish him well.
Allen played with heart and much better than most UDFAs.
Alas - he was slightly overpaid and Bradley wants more speed from his OLBs. He'll catch on somewhere. Good luck, Russell.
Kind of saw it coming after the addition of Watson, but still sucks to see him go. He had a talent for hanging on. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him follow the Jack train to Denver, where he might be able to snag a starting job opposite Von Miller or inside, and would be solid depth for the Broncos at worst.
Perhaps they like LaRoy Reynolds as much as some of us like to think.
Reynolds just looks like a stud.
Best of luck to Russell in whatever he chooses to do in the future. If it is indeed from lingering effects from his concussion I wish him the best of health along the way. He caught a lot of grief on the boards that was a bit undeserving in my eyes. The guy was an UDFA and far exceeded expectations and did his best with what was asked of him.

Mack has enough athletic ability to drop into coverage as well as rush the passer. If drafted I would expect him to move around the defense.

That's just the 'roids.

lol probably
Allen was a decent Lb. Truth be told he is a backup who was playing a starter role. Lacks the speed and quickness we need in this defense. I think Allen could be a decent LB on a team that has a huge front 4 who eats up blockers. Good tackler that lacks speed and quickness
We could of used the money we saved on him to get Alex Mack
/sarcasm

Agreed on All Aspects...
NH3...
[quote name="Vicbow Rules" post="175942" timestamp="1397769756"]That being said, it will be interesting to see who gets cut as the team gets better.[quote]
This too is what I'm expecting... MJD was in the Forefront...
NH3...
This may mean that Mack is our guy at #3. Also, with Allen, wouldn't surprise me to see him sign a deal within the next two weeks with either New England as a depth/rotational player or on a team like Dallas who needs some help on defense.
I think that if you are absolutely convinced that this means anything about their draft plans, it would likely mean Van Noy more than Mack.
I honestly think the Jaguars are narrowing down on Van Noy. They had an entire Senior Bowl week to meet with him and then they parade in 10 early first rounders for visits and Van Noy. When I watched the Senior Bowl, I couldn't help but take notice in Babich's very close attention to Van Noy. Van Noy was the one player that was getting coached up by the Jags staff after every drill.
FINALLY!!!!!! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
Had 3x as many tackles as Tom McMannus.
He sucked... Made a couple plays here and there but the release didn't shock me.

Yes, but only 1/3 as many radio shows.
Allen will be picked up. He was a good LB. Just got shuffled out with Geno coming in last year.
