That's not just silly, that's arrogant.
We all had hopes that Teddy would further develop to the elite quarterback level. He has not.
His character has emerged and that lack of competitiveness is nagging away. None of his people are legitimately making his case. The more they pile on about pro days being irrelevant, the more suspect Teddy's "at best, average" Pro Day becomes. How quickly they knock Manziel and Co. for "they look great throwing against air", but Teddy threw against air, too with far less impressive results.
To recap, Teddy claimed to have trained for months and months to get ready for what? He declined to participate in the Combine work out and showed total disregard for his own image at a totally awful Pro Day. You call that "the most pro-ready quarterback in this draft"?
One doesn't simply tell the entire NFL world how competitive you are then not compete.
Third or fourth round with a modest risk of drafting a future back-up, at best.
+1 for grumpy cat

Would rather:
A.) Take the trade Cleveland got with Minn:
8: Ha-Ha/Bridgewater/Dennard/Ebron
39:Van Noy/Benjamin/Nix/Tuitt/Yankey/ASJ
B.) Stick with our picks:
3: Watkins/Mack
39:Van Noy/Benjamin/Nix/Tuitt/Yankey/ASJ
Hate that mock. I'm glad it won't happen. Overpay for both players.
Too many needs to be trading away picks IMO.
Lousy mock. Giving up all those picks to go back into the 1st to get Bridgewater? And this bunch thinks the fans would be ecstatic? Hardly.
Quote:Anyone see this one? Interesting. Just don't see trading a 2,3, and 4 to move back into the first...not with so many holes.

Thats really not a bad trade, your only giving up a 3 and a 4, we have two 4's, three 5's and two 6's, a lot of times your would have to give up a 1st the next year.
Getting the most explosive WR and the most NFL ready QB and only losing a 3 and 4 is a steal
Trading up in deep drafts is foolish.

Agreed here, and I think Caldwell agrees, as well. Giving up three valuable picks to draft a QB in free fall wouldn't make sense. Of course, I'd take Mack over Watkins at 3. LEO > WR.

Agree. Id be perfectly fine with this mock. Watkins is the best WR and Bridgewater is the best QB and the most NFL ready. We would be swapping the #39 for the #19 and only losing a 3rd and 4th whereas we have extra picks in the 4th,5th and 6th rounds.
We would only be missing a 3rd round pick and still would have a 4th , and 2 more 5ths. Losing a 3rd round pick to get the best WR and QB in the class is a bad thing?
lol at everyone acting like this would be some Atlanta Julio Jones style trade up where we are giving up multiple first rounders.
Wait, you people are complaining that a 2, 3, and 4 to get the best QB in the draft is bad? Sheesh.

Nothing is guaranteed as far as player success in the NFL. I love Bridgewater and I still wouldn't make that deal. I'd rather keep the 3 selections in a deep draft and take my chances.
Draft pick quantity will always win out in the end, as the odds will be in your favor of hitting with more of the selections.

Historically that is not the case at all. For every Rams/RG3 trade there is a Julio for a bunch of crap trade that the Browns made. They sure as hell would rather have Julio than all those picks they got. If you can get a top QB prospect for two day 2s and a day 3 pick it's a no brainer...especially if you have tons of other picks already.

I don't see that at all. Rarely if ever do trade ups like the Julio one ever work out for the team trading up and giving away mass compensation.

If he is as great as you think he is, he will be long gone before this scenario plays out. So, you can relax about it and not get too worked up.

This is where the problem lies with this scenario. Now with people watching more and more game tape on Teddy, you, a couple people on this site, and Matt Miller seem to be the only ones to believe this as of late. I guess he could go 1st to the Texans, i mean Kwame Brown went 1st to the Wizards years ago and nobody had him going that high. We shall see soon enough I guess.
I dont think its thats bad accually. Would it basically be giving up a third? They have an extra 4th anyway. That said I dont like it all that much just because there are a lot of holes to fill on this team and that 3rd round pick is needed
