So was Jerry Rice your point is?   Not everyone can afford big name schools.

This is starting to remind me of the old lady getting a beating in Blazing Saddles.

Quote:I was going to bring up Von Miller but you beat me to it.  Almost identical height, weight, and arm length.  Miller's 40 a touch faster.  But Mack beat him in the more explosive measurables like vertical and broad jump.

Cool, if he's juicing as much as Von Miller too, we're set! ....at least until he's caught... :pinch:

Thats fine, I'll get the last laugh....when Mack goes on to that glorious lackluster non entity NFL career....as I predicted he would.
Quote:He's not listed at 4.5 on wiki, he's listed at 4.7.

Wiki? lol

I am glad you have a Crystal ball.  Got tonight's lottery numbers too?
Quote:I am, especially when you are comparing players from equal level of competition. Mack's a small school player, so its not equal anymore.

And also, I tend to think the workout numbers are more useful in comparing defensive players than offensive ones - as you can be a better route runner as a WR than someone else who runs a faster 40 time and still be a better WR than the dude with the faster time.

So it's useful when comparing defensive players from small schools to their larger school counterparts? I just want to make sure I have that straight.
This reminds me of Derek Cox and the comparisons to that other NFL star DB that also went to William & Mary....lol. Mack is going to be Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware....ha ha ha....

You're not even making sense. Mack was a first team All American at the highest level of college football. Derek Cox wasn't even first team All Conference at a I-AA school.

Oddly, I think this actually matters to you.
Taking Mack over Clowney at 3 will be a grave mistake.

Mathis was a great corner.  watch your step.   Treading dangerous waters.

The more important question is...if Dave takes Mack at 3...do we start calling him "Small School Dave"?

This thread is hilarious!

That wasn't the "Mathis" I was talking about.

I'll have the last laugh, as usual.

You'll all have your excuses to why Mack never lived up to the "hype" though.

Dillard, Jennings, should i continue.......

Not sure why people continue to cite Jennings.....last I checked, he's pretty good. Just got himself a nice contract and a starting gig in NY, too.

Lol.

That's not the point. When i am wrong I admit it.   You on other hand.  Refuse to acknowledged that and then add more stuff that are guarantees as well.
