Quote:but I am weary of picking a guy so high from a small school that was not dominate from start to finish...
He had 41 TFLs between his sophomore and junior years about 20 per year, how is that not dominant? Very few players dominate as a freshman like Clowney did.
Quote:Dan Lefevour.
Dont forget how the Texans "tanked" the season to get a brady/Manning/Luck type qb (even included a big walk away bonus for Kubiak, and Shaub), yet they are now trying to trade the pick? Are they now tanking the draft?
Quote:Quality post right here folks.
Would you expect any different from him?
Quote:You're extremely misguided if you think all I'm looking for are sacks.
Well, then it's probably your take that's misguiding me because quite frankly, I can't make any sense of it whatsoever.
But then to each their own.

You're right. I jumped to conclusions with that. I was wrong.

See....the above is what I get for admitting I was wrong.
So all of you people that always claim that I wouldn't get bashed as much if I just admitted when I was wrong, are wrong in that claim.
I'm better off just sticking my heels in the dirt, apparenly.

It's good that you admitted you were wrong.
You need to do it more often.
I also have the right to laugh at a statement so ridiculous. It's all good-nature'd fun.
How about we compromise? We won't laugh at you so often, and you will not make such hasty/lazy judgments about a player?
Quote: Mack "plays" hard all the time. His motor is not in question. This season is the only one that Mack had exceptional production however. And it still was mostly vs inferior competition.
Mack reminds me of Dexter Coakley (played for the Cowboys, for those who may not know).
Coakley played at Appalachian State. At the time, in the Southern Conference (inferior competition), he had about the same career as Mack. Coakley had a nonstop motor, and ended up being a very solid player for a good while.
Demarcus Ware also played inferior competition while at Troy State. He had good results, but I don't remember him just absolutely destroying the inferior competition either.

I remember Coakley....good player, but not worth 3 overall.

How is my take misguiding you? I never mentioned the word sack. In fact the game where he had 2.5 I said wasn't really that impressive. Did I misguide you when I said LT? Ha? He isn't even close. When I said I am waiting to see this relentless motor? If that is the definition of a relentless motor then I would love to see what a person with a really relentless motor looks like. Take a look at the San Diego State game. You will find it very eye opening.

The SD State tape is a bad one also? Haven't even seen that one yet. He's really nothing that special. I think Ryan Shazier and Marcus Smith will be better

He certainly didn't scream top 3 pick in my eyes. I haven't seen much of Shazier. But Smith is a good player.
