Quote:That's not even a lot lol.
For his services, it is.
Quote:Lol it might be over paying but it isn't going to hurt the team at all paying that much money.

That might be the case with the Jaguars because of their favorable salary cap situation. Yet, for a team like the Steelers, which have major salary cap concerns, they clearly can't afford to give MJD a contract along those lines. The Steelers already have had to make some difficult salary cap related decisions with long time contributors for the team.
i'll miss MJD. He totaled 13,000 all purpose yards and 79 TDs (correct me if I'm wrong) as a Jaguar. Very impressive career and always will be a player I have great respect for.

3.5 mill a year is too much, especially in this RB market. Maybe another week with minimal interest will help him and his agent lower their asking price.
According to NFL.com MJD will meet with four teams in Orlando during owners meeting. Steelers, jets, pats, and dolphins are supposedly going yo meet with him. Not looking good for those wanting him to re-sign with the jags

He was out with the Jags when we signed Gerhart.
Id rather he be a Dolphin than a Steeler for sure....

I'm betting Patriots
Geez anybody but the Patriots. I think he'd have a better opportunity to play in Miami, and I wouldn't hate him as much. Although, I never allowed myself to disliking Fred when he wore the Patriots uniform.

I didn't dislike Fred for going to the patriots either, but then again, my dislike for the patriots has grown since then.
looks like MJD to the Raiders

Report: Maurice Jones-Drew is visiting The Oakland Raiders and there's a “good chance” deal gets done.

Yes, he was born in Oakland and went to high school close by.

yeah, I guess he didnt get any big offer so he figured he just wanted to go back home
I hope he has success there but it doesn't seem likely.

Jennings did. He can do it if he gets in good shape.
Well, at least I'll have something to cheer for when I go watch the stinking Raiders.
