Me to, I'm heading over to the booze thread to get drunk.
Of course I don't want to see chad henne start for the jags but if it means our future qb doesn't get killed out there from day 1 I'm all for it! Henne provides insurance at the very least and someone to mentor a rookie qb. Let's all calm down a little bit, WOO SAHH

Anger management

Gooos fraaaa baaaaa
Well thats not what I wanted to hear

Someone get Bouman on the phone and off the tractor. But hey..at least we can all agree that Henne>>Puke McCown

The media and the Jaguars' front office are now entrenched in a war of words. Funny, Prisco just visited and swore he wouldn't tell a soul what he saw.

They're livid about this Caldwell guy. First Tebow. Now the beloved Clowney and college quarterback de jour.

Hey Boselli!

Jake or Taylor, my man.

P.S. A.J. needs your personal protection.

I don't know why ANYONE would want Henne to mentor a new QB. Oh boy, our new QB will learn how to throw it into the dirt.

Regards......................the Chiefjag

World's most obvious smokescreen.

4 pages in and I still havent seen a link or a direct quote

I mean technically he is the starter for week 1 as of right now being that we haven't drafted one yet.

From Jaguars.com:

“I would say going into it he (Henne) would be (the starter),” Bradley, the Jaguars’ Head Coach, said on a conference call late Friday afternoon. “That’s our plan, (Jaguars General Manager) Dave (Caldwell) and I … If we did go that route, where we did bring in a quarterback at No. 3, we’d like to create an environment where that quarterback could come in and put all of his focus on preparation and learning without the distractions that come with it.

“That would be the ideal environment.”

Bradley did clarify that a rookie could win the job.

“We’re obviously going to play the best guy,” he said.

Kinda sounds like he wants to play the best guy, but ideally that would be Henne so the rookie can get acclimated to the NFL.  Seems reasonable enough.

so in others words.. A lotta people are just over reacting.
I don't believe Henne will be our QB starting next year, I don't care what anyone is saying right now. It's lying season remember that.

Now if Henne IS starting for us next season opener then I'll be upset.

Well thats a pretty good 8.5 MIL bluff.... :woot:

The above reminds me of that scene in the Honeymooners when Ralph & Alice are on the street because Ralph refused to pay the rent increase, and continued to claim the landlord was "bluffing" with his threats of eviction.

He's an insurance policy, there's no way our number one plan is to start Henne next season, it just can't be!
