Should we trade back into the 1st and grab him? Personally I think a Bridgewater-Barr draft would be awesome.

And there's something about Barr that makes me skeptical of his ability at the next level but I can't put my finger on it...

Barr is raw, too raw to draft

I would do it, but only if they'll take next years first round pick. I don't want to lose any depth from this draft.

I think Barr has top five potential but third round technique. Very cautious of him.

That would probably cost us at least our 3rd round draft pick and then some.

 

I dont want to walk away from arguably the deepest draft in a long time and end up with just Teddy and Barr from our first three picks.

If he falls into the 20's, then I think he'll get picked in the 20's without us trading up to get him.

You would want to give up next year's 1st round pick to trade up +-12 picks from our 2nd round pick?

 

I'm reminded of a Forest Gump quote about stupidity.

Any ideas about giving up next years first for a guy that falls to the 20s is pretty ridiculous. Our 1st next year could very well be in the top ten again. Standing pat at 39 (or maybe trading up a couple spots if someone falls to the 35,36,37,38 area) would seem to be a smarter idea. Dee Ford could wind up sitting there and to me if you can get Teddy and Dee Ford back to back , then the rest of the draft should be a cake walk.

Thanks for the insult but I didn't intend to trade up. Trade the 2014 20 something pick for the 2015 first round pick. That way, we get next year's first round pick one year early.

I would rather take Attaochu in the 2nd or 3rd.

I don't think we'll be making a playoff run next year.  No reason to get a player a 'year early' unless you are ready for a playoff/super bowl run.  Having him for a .500 year is pretty pointless.  This isn't quite "Gene Smith" level of thinking, because it's a 1st for a 1st, and not a 2nd for a 3rd.  But it's still not a very sound strategy.  

 

We're not two or three players away from being a playoff team.  If we get our QB at 3, then we'll be closer.  And if we get a pass rusher, we'll be closer.  But we've still got a long ways to go.  

 

Don't trade the future for the now unless now is ready for a super bowl run, and the window is closing.

I'm still reminded of that quote.  You want to spend next years first round pick on a guy if he falls out of the top 20 of this years first round.  I think it's asinine.  Next years first round pick could very well be in the top 15 again.  I don't think it's good business to trade away the future when it's imperative to get the picks right for the continued rebuild.  Washington is running into this exact problem and I would sincerely hope that our front office doesn't want to follow in the footsteps of Chainsaw Dan Snyder.

If we were to trade up for any faller-- I would rather dee ford than Barr, still not in favor of it though

I always thought the pundits labelled Barr as a 3-4 pass rushing type linebacker. Not that I have seen him other than once, but I just thought he wasn't going to be a fit for this team. To be fair, I'm still unsure about what the LEO position is all about. 

Absolutely not. 1) I will almost never trade a draft pick above a 5th rounder to move up. I like my draft picks. 2) I'm not sold on Barr at all.

Doesn't seem like a good idea to trade a top 10-15 2015 pick for a guy that falls to the mid 20's in this draft.
