I've long argued that. He's constantly labeled a genius, but do genius coaches lose twice to an expansion team in the same year? Hell, wasn't he 5-13, and on the verge of being fired, before Bledsoe got hurt, pushing Brady into the lineup? He should retire the same time Brady does so there is no chance of tarnishing that golden image.

And? There are outliers. He also went 11-5 one year in Cleveland. It's pretty easy to see where Brady took over as QB.

This year was much better than his 11-5 (2008) season without Brady. In 2008, the Pats were coming off of a 16-0 season and had one of the easiest schedule in the NFL.
Also in 2008 (without Brady), the Pats actually lost to the Dolphins, Chargers, and Steelers by a combined score of 101-33.

It truly makes me sick to my stomach that he's been here for 4 years. It's unbelievable.

Quote:If you pulled a fan from the crowd and let him be a coach. That fan would have more success than Gus just by gathering the guys together and saying:
"I'm gonna sit in this lawn chair drinking beer. I want you guys to get together and come up with what you think works best for your talents. I will just be on the sideline with a headset that isn't even connected to look the part, but I want you to call your own game.".
That is the God honest truth too.
Scary part, after reading this........I know you're probably right!
i know being an NFL head coach is probably not easy. Remember the fan that won the contest when Mularkey was here.....got the chance to call the first play of a game.
then MM showed him his playbook of his scheme and it was humongous!
But even a blind hog finds an acorn now and then...(see the logic there/)
....but blind gus doesn't seem to even get that lucky.

No doubt this is sad, but even sadder is that the Jaguars have had 2 of the top 3 coaches on this list as their HC, and 3 out of the top 10 when you add in JDR.
They actually fired the guy at #3 and unbelievably, found a way to replace him with a HC who ended up being worse then twice as bad as the # 3 HC. Unreal, just unreal.
It sure doesn't give a fan a whole lot of confidence going forward, although I have to believe it would be nearly impossible to hire a HC worse then Gus, based on Gus' record.

Is it morbid for me to say that I would enjoy watching Belicheat lose each of those 656 games?

Heck no. Dang straight I would love every moment.
And I'm enjoying the Rams being inept. Only thing missing was Kroenke packing a mustache to twirl.
