Quote:What is that list supposed to prove? That some qbs have been busts? K, great point.

You keep saying "reach" when no one is saying that. You have some weird belief that everyone is qb or bust. Most of us think teddy or another qb is worth a top 5 pick. That's only "reaching" in your because you don't like the qbs.

Lol that doesn't cause you to choose between the Wisons and Kaps. Keep trying to follow that plan of just flat out getting lucky. Gms just missed on those two players and San Fran and Seattle got extremely lucky (I'm still hesitant to say Kap is franchise qb).

What happens next year when only a few qbs declare and we finish outside the top 10? Trade everything to go up and grab a qb or hope one magically falls to us?

The list is quite telling.  No, I didn't expect you to be open to an opposing opinion, you rarely have been.

You draft the best players available.  You draft when available, not when convenient.

Your problem is the same as last year, you are overvaluing a QB solely out of desperate need.  Convenience.

I could well be wrong this year, but I sure wasn't last year.  If I'm wrong and they select a QB that doesn't turn out to be a massive reach with the third pick, I'll happily defer to the club's decision since they know more than I do.  I don't get the feeling those begging for a QB at #3 will have the same reaction.

Quote:The expectations are fifty (50) for Mr. Bridgewater here next season. Right?

I dont know what you mean by 50.
Quote:Yes, but drafting a disposable quarterback means you lose a talented player with elite talent in the process.

We throw away first round picks?

Well put.

You keep saying I am "this or that". I wasn't last year and I'm not this year. If you ever read my posts I wanted Geno to be the pick but would understand Dion Jordan or Mingo. I loved all three players way more than a tackle.

How do you know I'm overvaluing anyone? I can have an opinion on a qb and my opinions may be wrong. Certainly looks like I was wrong with Geno but let's see how he does this year.

Made me spit out my drink by saying I won't listen to opposing views. You are by far the most stubborn person on this board. You insulted plenty of people during the Geno discussions. Multiple users stated how crazy you were with some of the posts. You can have an opinion but just because someone disagrees doesn't make them wrong.

Question: Matthews is the bap. You take him?
We had a major QB need in 2013, and passed.

We have a major QB need in 2014... and I don't think we can pass.

You can't just literally ignore your QB situation for 2 years in a row when that's the most important position on the field and also your biggest weakness.

Pushing the QB to the backburner is a coward's way of building a team.

I want them to do both.  Get a QB thats an improvement, keep building the entire team around him as well... and if the QB isn't a franchise caliber guy, then by all means DRAFT ANOTHER ONE.

You can't just keep rolling with Henne and Gabbert and then in the end shrug and say "well... we didn't have a QB"

According to your method of evaluating Ben was a for sure bust since he played weak competition in college....if he ain't SEC he ain't ****.

This seems to get lost by people. We have 9 other draft picks and free agency to build the team around the qb. It's not like we draft a qb and say, "screw it we done here".

Lol, you are so right. I guarantee that Pirk would be bashing Big Ben just as much as he has the rest of the last two QB classes.
