Quote:Great. Now I'm depressed. Hopefully they go through their reviews and determine he is straight garbage.
I wouldn't worry. Either way he's just a placeholder, even if only another year.

Quote:I wouldnt call that a surpriseI dunno it almost seems like common sense to let Gabbert go, but based on OC's remarks about Gabbert & his low salary they might keep him on for one more year.

Quote:http://espn.go.com/blog/jacksonville-jag...jags-henneI get why they would want Henne as a backup, but he seems to get paid as a starter...
and honestly i think most fans are tired of watching him & blaine on the field.

I still don't see why they'd want him around at all. He offers nothing but continuity. As a backup he has no upside at all, and he's never going to win a game for the Jaguars as one. If your point is he could hand the ball off to hold onto a game we could get Denard Robinson to do that.
As a starter he's completely laughable. The notion of Henne starting another game here makes me feel physically ill. I don't care who the rookie or free agent is, get some other guys in here, preferably someone we don't already know is absolute garbage.
