I have been reading a lot of complaints about Johnny Manziel being too short and even some about Teddy Bridgewater's size. This is not new. Every year people say this guy is too short or that guy needs to pack on pounds. But is size really as important as people think?
I don't think so. I see big guys suck and get hurt. I see small guys star and stay healthy. I see overweight guys who are more at risk of injuries than small players. I think it matters a little bit, but not nearly as much as people say, and no player should be rejected for being too small if he has all of the skills and intangibles required to play his position.
Don't get me wrong; I totally understand why people want tall receivers and quarterbacks. I just think the height and weight of a player should not be deterrants.
Being short greatly deters your vision.
It doesn't matter to me if the QB has all other tools necessary to succeed I just don't see that in Manziel
I will say that the thread title could have been phrased much better.
The college forum is taking quite an interesting turn lately.
Quote:Bridgewater has small hands. GMs don't like dudes with small hands.
If GMs are really worried about small hands, why don't any draft analysts ever talk about that? We never read anybody's hand measurement.
Players with small hands are not the only guys who fumble, you know.

"My hands are small I know, but they're not yours they are my own"
Was that jewel? I don't remember. Ugh! Why do I even remember that song?
You're a woman, you should have that answer.
Johnny supposedly has large hands and you know what they say about large hands...?

If you remember the lyrics that well, I don't buy that you forget the artist who sang it :woot:
You're just embarrassed that you like a Jewel song.

I will admit that I had to think a bit about who sung it first. But you kinda confirmed that it was jewel. So...
And no I don't like Jewell. I just remember it being popular before I got into high school. Mainly we just made fun of it.

Bingo!

I used to have the hots for Jewel, so damn right I knew what song that was, lol
Because you have to have a perfectly sculpted body like Gabbert to be worth a first round pick and be successful in the NFL.
It is not about the size of the boat; it's the motion in the ocean.

What's not to like about Jewel? I bet she appreciates large hands too!
On a more serious note, I remember a lot of concern about Danny Wonderful not being able to grip a wet football after a loss in the rain. Maybe hand size does matter?
