Quote:What is the PFT agenda? I read the article and didn't see anything wrong. I think Bradley won over Florio, he hasn't really bad mouthed in a long while and has been writing pretty encouraging things about us in his power rankings.
Quote:The PFT agenda? What in the heck does that mean? Paranoid much?
I worded that poorly. Obviously they pulled the story out of thin air to make a headline "Jags Will Begin Looking for a QB IMMEDIATELY". PFT is all about the clicks. I'm sure I don't need to remind any of you how anti-Jacksonville Florio has been in the past.

I understand. And I think Florio enjoys making fun of the Jags because it was so easy and always seemed to get a response.
But as someone mentioned, it does seem that Florio is acknowledging the good work being done by Khan, Caldwell and Bradley (sounds like a law firm, doesn't it) and is lightening up on the Jaguars. He can always move on to the Browns. Now there is a team it seems
everyone makes fun of.

The team that gets the most teasing from fans and the media is probably Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers were picked on for their MRSA crap and stupid head coach.
Coaching the Senior Bowl will help
This needs to be an all hands on deck kind of thing.
I want the QB coach looking at tape
I want the all the QB related scouts evaluating
I want Fisch looking at tape.
I want Tony Kaan running numbers
I want Gus bradley looking into their souls
I want Caldwell compiling all the info and making the selection that changes the jaguars fate
If they find him. The guy. The QB that'll bring us back to the glory days. I don't care the price. Get him. If he truely isn't there, Then draft a late round hungry rookie and lets try this again next year.
Edit: Also, I hope Caldwell doesn't select based on measurable's alone. Thats what Gene Smith did and we got Blaine Gabbert. A body crafted to play the position better than anyone but a mind that just couldn't handle the pressure.
I want everyone to look at all of the tapes and break them down, then hold a big meeting to discuss their perspectives so they can all get on the same page. And of course I want all of them to talk to a lot of quarterbacks, watch them at the combine and Pro Day drills, and report their findings at the Senior Bowl.

It'd be nice if they evaluated a couple of the quarterbacks already on the roster this Sunday.

They don't need to. Everyone knows none of them are good enough to start in the NFL.
Quote:So how fast are we wagging until Gabbert is released?
Hopefully first cuts. The guys flat out sucks and is a coward

Could not agree more. Too bad Mettenberger and Murray are missing the game. But they will get a close look at Carr, Fales, Boyd and possibly McCarron.
Quote:Please get this one right! I can't stomach another wasted high pick. I'd rather pick good players and wait another year than just pick one out of desperation.
Then you better hope they don't take Bridgewater.

You had me until the whole looking into souls thing...

I'm guessing he's released next week, right now he's the #2 and they probably don't want to waste time bringing someone else up from the PS to take that position, I'd bet he's released early next week.

I bet he's not. I bet he gets released around the draft.
Gene Smith should be in the fray so everyone knows who not to draft. Whatever Gene likes do the opposite.

Why would Bridgewater be a wasted pick?

Tools tho
Carr fits Fischs offense more so than any prospect in this class.
