Are your favorite colours are red, white, and blue? Or do you favour the black, yellow, and white of Iowa?

And aren't you a Michigan fan? Don't pretend you're not bias in this discussion.
EDIT: Aha I just realized your British spellings. These colors don't run.

I'm not biased when it comes to Stanzi or any other players from other Big 10 schools that play for the Jags. If they play for the Jags I want them to succeed. I just think Stanzi at most is a game manager and that's definitely not what we need.

The best QB is on TV is on right now and he is going to Houston. Meanwhile, despite not being in playoff contention since the start of the season and losing some ridiculous number of games, consecutively; someone decided that winning 2 more games near the end of a disastrous season against equally pathetic teams would instill a winning culture, giving us momentum for our run at being average next year...gotta love it.

And I'll respectfully disagree on Stanzi being a game manager. He was honestly kind of a gun-slinger in college. For some reason the scouting report on him is someone who doesn't throw the ball down field, but if you watch some highlights of him in college he had a great deep ball.

Nahh I know what Henne is I noticed when he was in Miami. He's hot then he's cold when he's hot he's above average and looks like he may be the answer when he's cold he can lose you the game. You never know which Henne you're going to get.

But we have to forget about him, because as you said, he's not coming.
I'm just saying, what if. What if Stanzi/Scott plays tomorrow and throws for three touchdowns and no interceptions. Let's just say that happens. Then we have someone to compete with the draft pick next year. (As much as I complain about Stanzi never getting a shot, he didn't exactly have a preseason this year to prove himself)
There is no point in starting Gabbert/Henne tomorrow. No matter how you look at it. Tomorrow should be about evaluating players in a real game. In my opinion, quarterback is our worst position. So why not switch it up? Its a performance based league, and our quarterbacks have done nothing to earn themselves a shot to save face (which is what tomorrow will be for Henne) by starting them in a meaningless game.

The only reason I would give for playing Henne, is that you feel bad for him since he sat behind Gabbert for half the year when he was obviously better. (Not very good, but still better)

There's 1 game left. Henne sadly is the best option at QB. We're likely going to draft a QB early. Stanzi may have his chance in camp to make a move up the depth chart but there's no point in taking Henne out now.

What are we working towards by starting Henne?

More than likely evaluating whatever WRs and TEs we trot out for one more game. Henne has more live reps in this offense than any other QB on the roster.
Long term we're not really working toward anything with any of these QBs except maybe a competition to be a backup for some years.

Because those are the only passes that are going to get to the receivers out of Henne's hands. And can't those receivers just prove themselves in camp? It works both ways. The young receivers should be out there with Stanzi/Scott. That's what a good organization would do. They'd put the back ups in. The ones who have sat around and watched this team lose all those games this season, without having a shot to help the team out. You put those guys out there and see which one's respond.

If even one player who hasn't played all season steps out on the field and shows that he can make it on the roster, it was a successful day. The only way you can possibly ensure failure, is to put the same guys on the field that have failed this season.

You did not read the whole post. I was only talking about everybody responsible for choosing a quarterback. That means all of the position coaches will look at other players. I never said people will be thinking about nothing but quarterbacks until the draft. That will be the first position they work on; after that they will look at the rest of the offense.
