We were playing Buffalo. Don't get too excited.

Really?   Like he has his choice who he wants to start against.   Give credit where it is do.

Buffalo has a bad rush d.

Come on man, do you have to spoil a good day? So what if the opponent was another 4-9 team; that does not mean we should not be happy about the backup running back running over 100 yards. I think that was his first career start. People should be excited when they see a player do that.
Quote:I thought Todman's 109 should have been at least 130. That boy don't like to get hit. Other than that he played well.

I have to agree with you. He doesn't bring near the same toughness that MJD does.
Todman has been proving himself all season. He comes to play and makes the plays when the opportunities present themselves.

Was he expected to make the final roster in preseason?

He's okay.

he's playing much better than denard robinson
He does what he does pretty well. But what he does is only run to the outside and off tackle.

Kinda like a poor mans Reggie Bush/Chris Johnson.

Of course when we have MJD to run up the middle, we don't need Jordan Todman to do it, so it should not be a problem.
I want to know where the clowns are now that were telling me that Todman wasn't getting more touches 'because he isn't good' or 'we are just enamoured with him because he has straight line speed'.

Probably some of the same people in this thread.

. I'd like to see him develop another movie. Seems like if he gets not hes Going down or if he can't use his speed on the edge he's screwed. Hope he gets more playing time cause I wanna see a better sample but he does have some explosiveness.
Does anyone else see some Freddy in him?

No lol
Quote:No lol

Why not? Explain?

I'm assuming this is sarcasm, if it's not then the answer is a resounding no. I do like the burst Todman shows through the hole however, and would like to see more him these last two games.

He surprised me I'll admit that. But let's keep in mind deji Karim showed flashes aswell lol

Fred Taylor had a rare combination of power, vision, lateral/vertical explosion, & topped it all off with long speed. Fred Taylor (in his prime) was one of the best RB's in the history of the NFL, guys like Curtis Martin & Terrell Davis got all of the love, but Taylor was a far superior runner. The great Jim Brown said Fred Taylor was one of the best in NFL history as well.

Well heck I know all that. Freddy is my all time fav player in the history of NFL. I cried a bit during his retirement ceremony. I wasn't saying JD was FT equivalent or caliber lol. I just see a similar style in a few areas is all.
