His fumble was a tough one to watch. The stadium was about to explode.

I felt awful for him. Making it worse was the fact that it looked like he would cross the goaline without having to extend the ball. He'll be fine though.

Quote:His fumble in the end zone was offensive....TO ME.He tried to reach out for the td players do it all the time it was just that this time he wasn't close enough. If he had been like 3 inches closer to the endzone everyone would be saying how great the play was so chill the [BLEEP] out.
I truly don't know what we have him around for.

Both Denard and Mike Brown, both former QBs, experienced what coaches like to call teaching moments at their respective new positions. In Denard's case, I'd be willing to bet that will never happen to him again.

Dude, I could only imagine how deflated the stadium got with that play! With that said, it's pretty amazing how resolute the team was after that. A lesser coached team would have packed it in. That fumble last year would have resulted in a route last year. We kept chugging along and even had the ball to tie afterwards.
It was a heartbreaking play, there is no doubt about it.

Agreed. A rookie getting this kind of experience is good. Let's see how he does in year 2. Those who think he'll be cut are being WAYYYYY too pessimistic! Think about how many people wanted to write of CSIII after his rookie year! I remain optimistic on Shoelace.

Looked more like he was stripped to me. Great run but too loose with the ball.
killed a score we HAD to have in the third.
Was in the SEZ and the fans all around us just kind of deflated....and the billies fans went wild.
Wasn't good at all.

I still have faith in the guy. Like you guys said "teachable moments." You know he wanted that TD more than anything its gotta be killing him.

Safe bet. The good news is we saw the explosiveness from him. I doubt he's ever a starting running back but I think he can be used by Fisch in some creative ways.

Lol at people saying he needs to be tackled in practice. This isn't pop warner, he's played ball his entire life. Again, he's a rookie. Fifth rounder. Oh yeah and it's a new position. Just let all those factors sink in. He won't be cut, too much upside. Everyone needs to chill and let him develop, could turn into something special. That near TD shows he has home run potential every time he touches the ball. Give it time, look how CS3 developed.

Apart from being pretty fast what is the great upside?
Todman looks fast and has great hands and good vision, not to mention he was smart enough on one run to switch the ball to his other arm to protect it. He's the one with great upside not denard

So only one RB can have upside?

What did Mike Brown do? I was at the game, but I don't remember any bad plays from Mike Brown.

Not saying that but one has legitimate skills the other guy may as well run track

Fumbled twice and lost 1. Not sure the lost one was a completed pass. Bet if we recovered it it would have been called incomplete.
In fact if you have to control to the ground to count as a catch then how can it have been a fumble? Rule is a joke

it was a really bad call, you're right.
If it isn't catch, you can't have a fumble. But if it was a catch, his knee was down.
I think the bills brought their own refs to the game. :ermm:

lol some of you guys are nuts if you think he's gonna be cut anytime soon.

We've bypassed "knee-jerk" reaction territory and into The Twilight Zone..

Players don't get cut for mistakes, they get cut because they lack potential. If the coaches see something in Denard they think they can develop, they will keep him.
Personally. I don't think he makes the 53 man squad next year. Not unless he makes some major improvement in the offseason. Third string running backs are a dime a dozen.

I'm nervous any time Robinson has the ball in his hands because there's a good chance it won't be there long.
