Arob, Hurns and Lee have the most drops of any WR trio with 21 between them.

Also Bortles and Arob had a meeting this week to get back on page with each other. Yeah smart move once we are officially out the playoff hunt.
Quote:It should be pretty obvious what I meant by "clockwise" spirals: That is the direction balls spin when our current QB throws them.

FWIW no current NFL quarterbacks are left-handed.
When the receiver sees the ball coming is it still spinning clockwise, or did it change to counter clockwise?

Pirkster, you are acting like Bortles never had a good season. He regressed after a great season. Big difference. The fact that he had a great year in 2015 proves all of his problems are fixable.

You know the answer. The ball can't change directions in the air.

Do you ever watch a curve ball in baseball? It changes directions! I've seen it.

Or a Roberto Aguayo field goal?

Baseballs are not like footballs.

I know that! But they are both balls. That's why one is called a foot, and the other is called a base.

I think it depends on which hemisphere you're in.

That's not true at all.

I was fooled by Blakes inflated numbers last year but in reality he wasn't all that great last year either.  He has major mechanical flaws and footwork issues that may well never be fixable at a sufficient level.
"The last play to gain 30-plus yards was Bortles' 51-yard completion to Marqise Lee in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars' 19-14 loss to the Chiefs. That also is the only pass that that has traveled at least 30 yards in the air that Bortles has completed this season. According to ESPN Stats & Information, Bortles is 1-for-14 with no touchdowns and two interceptions on passes that have traveled at least 30 yards in the air"

So much terribleness here.

The question that needs to be answered is he injured?  Or is he not mentally prepared?  Or is he incapable? .

WOW, I didn't realize that. Oooh,, ugly.

I did know that Bortles has the worst 2 games of any QB this whole season regarding completed passes over 5 yards.

The worst 2 completion percentages for passes over 5 yards goes to:

Blake Bortles against Denver

Blake Bortles against Detroit

Where is spacecoast to pull some cherry-picked stats out of his rump to show us how great Blake is?

I don't trust this current coaching staff to answer that question.  I'd like to have an opinion from a new coaching staff.

I am not "acting" in any way.

His best season still needed a lot of improvement.

That proves he still needs work even if he gets back to 2015 form.

Terrible.

What makes it worse is that on many of those 30+ yards throws is that he had a great pocket and wasn't under pressure. For exemple in the Ravens game he had a great pocket and Lee was wide open for a TD and he overthrew him by like 5-10 yards.
Trust in Leftwich to turn it around.

Trust in Garrard to turn it around.

Trust in Gabbert to turn it around.

Trust in Bortles to turn it around.

Sorry, but my faith isn't charity.  It has to be earned.

Bortles hasn't earned it.

We're repeating the same stuff over and over.

Bring in competition, let whoever wins the job, win the job.

That's what the team deserves.  The best players play.

You know where.

- He's in the same place that he was during the KC, Detroit, Houston weeks (silence when BB was playing awful).

-"Miraculously", he showed back up after the Bills game when BB looked better (no turnovers) and the defense waivered.

- One week later, BB looked DREADFUL against Denver, while the defense played very solid. Spacecoast nowhere to be found. Amazing, isn't it?

Lol!

Any other poster comes and goes from the board as things in life may keep them offline a while (everyone's life, and everyone's own business).

However, spacecoastjag's appearances/disappearances are strictly aligned with the play of BB during a week. He is predictable as clockwork.

He'll be back the very week Bortles manages to have another good game. Book it.
