From the pictures I've seen of who the girl might be she was a relatively thin, meek girl....Jameis is a 250 lb guy.  At that point she may have just said why fight it?

 

I'm glad he can move on from this and hopefully FSU wins a national championship.  Whatever happened that night I hope she can move past it as well. 

I sincerely hope that Jansen will NOT let go of this. The Gator-infested media combination should be held responsible for this predatory, laying in wait, premeditated frontier steamboat kind of dirty-handed morality play. Publishers should be handing out pink slips to a whole combination of Gator Nation hacks.

 

They claim that Jameis Winston got off based on not enough evidence and are doing everything they can to impress this on the public.

I wasn't talking about the Winston case specifically since there was no evidence of any physical mark.   I was just responding what you said about a guy raping a girl, who is not intoxicated, and not have any physical mark left behind.

They said she wasn't too intoxicated in their estimation. They figured she had a .1 when the incident happened. That BAL one a small college girl could make her annoyingly drunk.

Typical.

I didnt really spend much time reading over the facts due to a lack of interest however I was listening to Mike and Mike driving into work this morning and they had their legal expert on who followed the case.  I was caught off guard by his tone.  For starters he said this wasnt like the Duke Lacrosse case where the prosecutor came out and say yea those boys are innocent.  He said due to the delay and incompetence of the Tallahassee PD that there just wasnt enough evidence.  He was also very hostile towards the police regarding how the case was handled and evidence collected.  He seems to think that if some justice were to be done, that heads need to roll in the department.  He went off on one police officer in general.  He also didnt like the press conference yesterday saying how it seemed to be too light hearted and too many smirks for such a serious offense.

 

I guess the impression I got, mostly from reading this board which is probably my fault since Im sure there are a lot of pro-FSU, was that this was open and shut and she was lying.  However listening to the legal expert on Mike and Mike, that guy painted a very different picture.  This is why rape cases are so hard.  Its hard to prove the truth.  The girl, especially in a case like this, always gets her name slung through the mud and completely villified.  No shock that most rape cases go unreported.
