Quote:is it possible that they gave her something that cant be detected?

and who is to say that the TPD didnt cover that up. i mean, there is alot more to this that could come out. not necessarily having to do with Winston

it sounds like this girl was having sex (consensual or not) with multiple guys at one time.... seems weird to me. im not one to stand up for a guy who would partake in such a thing. that's just my opinion.

Ummm, these are college kids. I'm just assuming they don't have this magical cant be detected drug.

This isn't about morals. This is whether or not he raped a girl. If you are judging Winston to be a bad person then that is fine, but this thread is about a rape/sexual assault that accured, not whether it is morally right to have group sex.

Whose to say the girl isn't straight up lying or that TPD covered it up? I mean, I don't know. I'm sure you could come up with a 1,000 different scenarios. I just don't see or think it is logical to think they rigged the toxicology report.
Quote:I just read the whole report. There is nothing in it that shows the girl should be locked up for anything. If you read it you'll realize that her version of the events and their version of what happened are pretty much the same (with slight differences) except they say it was consensual and she says it was rape.

The only thing that they (police) said was different was what she later told her friends that had happened...that she was hit over the head and couldn't remember. I'm sorry...but if I was raped the last thing I would want to do is go into embarrassing detail with my girlfriends.

And if you want to make a big deal about some of the story changing...how about the room mate that swore in his testimony that they busted in the room as a joke on Winston but later admitted to the police that he went in to join in the sex with the girl as had happened before when Winston had brought girls home? Not saying this means anything...just that now you have one of those "ironclad" witnesses admitting to lying in his sworn statement.

This just seems like one of those he said/she said cases that are impossible to prove either way...it doesn't sound like a girl hell bent on mucking up your boys life.

I though a woman could trust another woman enough to where she can confined with each other to discuss a sexual assault and not be embarrassed.

Some woman feel like it's their fault that they were raped and are embarrassed to have put themselves into the situation where it could have happened.
Quote:GREAT POST !!!   .... that damn girl needs to be locked up !!   She totally hurts the credibility of the REAL VICTIMS of rape.

Yes!  Let's lock up people who make accusations of rape.  That'll surely not further discourage victims of rape from reporting the crime.  They surely won't think "Look at what happened to this girl?  What if there isn't enough evidence?  What if It was my fault?  I better not report it."

Or they will.

Not like they really charge people for most false accusations in the first place.  At least not to my knowledge.  My cousin was falsely accused of vandalizing his ex-girlfriends car by his ex-girlfriend who claimed to have witnessed him doing it.  It was an incredibly malicious accusation, and they pretty much proved he didn't do it.  Despite that, his ex faced absolutely no charges.  And now he has that on his permanent record even though he wasn't found guilty!  It seems that they only charge people of false accusations when they are 100% certain that the accusations were 100% false.  And even then it's a grey area.

It's a double edged sword.. If they don't reprimand her, she's just paving the way for every woman to consent to sex and yell rape.. If they do reprimand her, it MAY give women the idea that if they ARE raped, they could see reprimand if no evidence was found..  They at least need to expose her for what she is in this case..
I hope this case was high profile enough to force these young men to think before they act. Leave the skeezers alone. There's always SOMEONE who will want to take advantage of their popularity/fame.. Every woman knows how to use sex to their advantage. The one's who deny it, are only fooling themselves.. Just being honest and if that makes me a bad guy for saying it, then oh well..

That's understandable.

Unfortunately there will be people like Brian Banks, and Duke men's lacrosse team who will either spend years in jail or be publicly judged.
