Quote:No it isn't. Most CFB analysts would agree FSU is a more talented team. Michigan makes up for it with coaching though.

Maybe they are more talented, but saying FSU is "far more" talented that Michigan is a bit much.

Jabrill Peppers, Jourdan Lewis, and Jake Butt are All-American locks. Taco Charlton might end up on an AA team, too.

In this 7 round mock draft (<a class="bbc_url" href='http://draftwire.usatoday.com/2016/12/01/2017-nfl-mock-draft-full-7-round-projections/' title="External link">http://draftwire.usa...nd-projections/</a>) they are projecting:

Rd 1 Jabrill Peppers, 5th overall

Rd 2 Jake Butt, 43rd overall

Rd 2 Jourdan Lewis, 45th overall

Rd 2 Taco Charlton, 54th overall

Rd 3 Erik Magnuson, 76th overall

Rd 3 Chris Wormley, 79th overall

Rd 4 Mason Cole, 111 overall

Rd 4 Jehu Chesson, 120th overall

Rd 5 De'Veon Smith, 143rd overall

Rd 6 Amara Darboh, 170th overall

Rd 6 Ryan Glasgow 182nd overall

Rd 7 Channing Stribling, 213th overall

That is a lot of possible draft picks for a college team.
Talented depth is the biggest difference, I would say. There really isn't a talent difference in the starting units. FSU an OSU can go 2 and 3 deep with NFL talent. Michigan just has NFL talent on the first units (and D-Line 2nd unit)

I think Michigan will take a step back next year and then in 2018 they will be rocking and rolling.

That was what everyone said about Ohio State when the "exodus" Urban Meyer predicted became reality.
Weird to see a Pitt team that beat Clemson and Penn St. Get a 6-6 Northwestern.

And people kept trying to convince me Penn State is better than Ohio State based on one freaking play.

You are insane. Did oSU not have a chance to go up after the blocked field goal?

If they are better why didn't they win?

Exactly.. I would put money on Penn if they played again. I believe they are playing like one of the four best teams in cfb.

A blocked FG attempt Penn State ran all the way back for a TD.

Does that mean Michigan is better than PSU?

Or maybe the better team doesn't always win....?

LOL Well Michigan did dominate Penn State. Later the Wolverines proceeded to CHOKE in Columbus.

I'm making a point that you can't always use head to head. You should nod your head when someone is trying to support you and not troll them.

Right - people need to stop this "PSU is better than OSU because of their HTH meeting" crap. It has been obvious the whole time they only use it to argue with me because one very rare play ruined it for OSU.
Quote:Saying FSU is more talented than Michigan is being a homer.
You blame everything in homerism. Time to get a new line. You're clueless.

So you're saying what happens on the field means nothing. Got ya. Makes sense. Why even play then, just name the final four at the beginning of the season and move on.

No I'm not. You clearly are just trying to find reasons to believe Ohio State is not as good as Penn State. ONE FREAKING RARE PLAY! What if that did not happen and Tyler Durbin made his last attempt? Would you still refuse to admit which team is better because of your bloody hatred of Ohio State?

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts every day would be Christmas.

The bottom line is PSU was better than OSU on the field that day.

Not every day of the season, which is what really matters.

When things are as close as they were, it really matters too.

I would have understood had PSU made it.  They're a very good team and playing high level football at the end of the season.  They won a lot of games and won the B1G.

That should carry more weight than it does.  This whole system is broken and includes too much subjectivity.
