Now do you like our third round pick?

*clears throat*

NO.
Wil Blackmon and Chance Warmack

I think us fans deserve the game ball.. Hanging in there for 9 games to finally feel sweet victory..

balls for everyone!

Literally
The game balls should be thrown at the heads of the coaching staff.  Why did they have Henne throwing when grinding out short yardage for first downs to run out the clock was critical?  We can't have Henne throw the game balls at the coaches, though, because he would miss.

Yes, Henne is bad...

The game did seem to get a bit out of hand when it shouldn't have, but even with that said, we hung in.  I prefer to look at how the D stood up versus how the Offense was pathetic.  The thing is --  the Offense has always let us down since the "10th round pick that shall not be named".

Usually, the D crumbles after time.  This game was different.  The D didn't crumble.  That's something to be happy about.

I attribute the D's tenacity to Poz.  He doesn't quit and he motors constantly.  I don't know how much he talks on the sidelines, but he certainly inspires on the field.  He's the best FA pickup this team has made in a long time.
Poz is the man.  It's fitting that Gus's first win was by the defense.

Poz is absolutely the best Jeans Mythe FA pick up.  Caldwell's FA's have had just as much of an impact.

I love Posluszny, I really hope he isn't a part of the next round of cuts.  We need his type of heart to help shape the D.  God forbid we keep some dummy that winds up being a negative virus in the locker room.  Poz seems like a dude that will do what's best for the team.  Gotta keep him.
Will Blackmon and Marks are 2 really quality players that Caldwell should get props for.  IF Hayes could continue to play at a high level he could make the list as well.

Until they don't come back and stink it up at home, no game balls for you!

I think we'll be giving him props for Gratz as well.  He looks very acclimated out there for a rookie.

There is still a little uncertainty that Cyp is  the longterm solution at SS - but he seemed to take a small step forward today by just being a half-step quicker reacting to the play.

If he comes into his own and Joeckel does what most expect he'll do - then the 2013 offseason acquisitions by Caldwell start to look pretty darn good.  Time will tell.

So who is getting game balls today?  My take

Bradley:  The defense won the game so I'm giving Bradley the game ball.  The defense stepped up and created many turnovers

Will Blackmon:  This guy is our starting corner of the future.  PAY DA MAN

Gratz:  Coming back off injury in his first full game in a long shot and he gets yet another pick.  Another CB of the future

Cyprien:  By far his best game of the season

Poz:  Had an excellent game including an early strip that set the pace for the game

Geno Hayes:  Played great today.

I'm sure there are some other unsung hero's once I watch the game again but good job boys
I still don't understand why people want to get rid of Poz. He's easily our biggest playmaker on defense.

Nobody who said we should "tank for Teddy" deserves a game ball.

Game ball to Sen'Derrick Marks. Watch the DVR of CJ2K's fumble on the first play for the Titans' offense very carefully, specifically following Marks' left hand all the way. He forced the fumble that Puz recovered. Puz had CJ2K wrapped up with both arms. Sen'Derrick swatted Johnson with his left arm and that's when the ball came out.

Marks was playing with incredible pride and inspiring the rest of the defense. He "caused" the safety, which made the two-point difference in the final tally.

Double posted.

Alan Ball had a good game.

Nobody wants to get rid of Puz. We want the LB position to improve. The reason the LBs looked good yesterday relates to the fact that since training camp, our defensive line has not played with a degree of dominance surrounding the ball.

If you look back at camp, the d-line was incredibly strong, and, for the first time, making far more tackles than in the years following the departure of Big John Henderson and Marcus Stroud. Once the season started, the d-line became a finesse group and the burden shifted back to the LBs and DBs.

We really need to get better all over the place....
