What about people who start threads wanting the Vikings to win to help the jags stay closer to the number one pick? I'd still like the number one pick and glad the team won. But, you yourself also seemed to be getting close to the tanking line.

Every Season Ticket Holder should get a Game Ball in the mail by the next home game for putting up with so much garbage and so that  "We" can remember what it feels like to win.

ANY fan who stuck with this team through all of this season's horrors deserves that game ball.. If they wanted to "Tank for Teddy", it was only because they wanted this team to be better in the immediate future.. This team has NO, I repeat for you, NO FRANCHISE QB.. You need to understand that.. step away from your keyboard for a minute and let that marinate.. Then "Hopefully", you'll understand why people wanted this team to "Tank for Teddy".. I'll tell ya what, let's simplify the whole "Tank for Teddy" thing for you.. This new motto may put things in a better perspective for you and MAY help you understand a little bit more.. How about "TANK for a FRANCHISE QB".. Because this team lacks one and a mid 1st round pick may not get us one.. Better?

People who want to tank for a franchise quarterback assume there is zero chance someone not named Teddy Bridgewater can be that guy, which is simply not true. That is a mistake for two reasons:

 

1. Drew Brees, Andy Dalton, and Colin Kaepernick were picked early in Round 2. Russell Wilson was picked in Round 3. Certainly the #2 overall pick is good enough.

2. We can trade up to #1 overall if necessary. The Eugene Monroe trade makes that possible.

"They" always have an opinion.. "Their" opinion is only an opinion.. You do understand that even though this team won yesterday, that it's still bad enough to lose the rest of their games, right? So who's to really say they are tanking?

We need talent. Best way to do that is to get higher draft picks (#1 and #33). I loved the win yesterday but in the grand scheme of things it could be meaningless. Thats not to say I was cheering for the tacks either. I was yelling at the TV all game (especially the shorts catch)
