FSU blowing out Clemson is the only game that matters. The rest are against poor competition. Why didn't we let Boise State play for a title when they were undefeated? Because they only had one good win that they were able to plan for all year. They knew the rest of the team were garbage.
FSU can play for a title. Do they deserve it? Not really. The ACC is worse than every other automatic qualifying conference.

That is why we need a playoff. Then we would have less meaningless arguments like the one above. Next year is a start. So who is more deserving then the Noles? Ohio State? Baylor? Who "deserves" it?
