Quote:Man you are a jagur homer through and through.

The issue is not being positive.

The issue is the Qb throws a pick 6 and he's on the sideline patting him on the back and telling him good effort.  Head coaches got to be tough at times.  This tony robbins thing is getting old
This is what I want to see him do to the whole Jaguar team, start at 2:00  Thats the fire I want to see.  Maybe we are tanking or else I think he would be like this.  I think it will be next year until we see that fire from him like in this video.

I'm starting to think that single clip of "Do Your job!!!" got him all of his interviews in the first place....and we have yet to see THAT Gus Bradley here.

We get the one that is the marshmallow Wade Phillips players buddy buddy version....

You guys obviously hear and see what you want to see. Listen to his comments after the last two games from Bradley and get back with me.

Once again, you have no idea how he deals with the team, or if he's any different here than he was in Seattle, but feel free to keep on spouting your ignorance as if you have a clue.

Exactly.  He's been anything but a cheerleader, but when there's an agenda, facts don't matter.
The "do your job" admonishment came after Seattle had put together a defense capable of running his scheme at a high level  - and then underperformed.

We're not there yet.  How in the world does anyone think a first year coach could pull that off with a bunch of rookies and rag-tags and not alienate half of them?

We'll get there eventually.  Deconstructing a Mel Tucker defense and trying to build a Seattle/Bradley defense doesn't happen in one offseason, people.

I'm sure Bradley pulls the "tough coach" card when it makes sense - and he'll likely do it more as the team shows they can handle it.

My thoughts exactly. Once he has his guys in place playing his brand of football and they aren't playing up to snuff, then we'll see some of the fire.

This,

The Jaguars have too many incompetent players on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, they don't play good because they're bad, bad players play bad, it's not that difficult to understand.
Name one player on the Jaguars defense that would start for Seattle.

Poz might...Marks?

That's the problem we didn't resign the few that would or could and brought in guys that wouldn't.

Pretty unfair question considering they have been building that "D" for years and this one is just getting started. Of course there is a difference in talent!

This was my point.

Keep on clinging.

No & No, Bobby Wagner is light years better than Poz and Tony McDaniel is an emerging star. The point is it isn't fair to try and compare Gus Bradley in Seattle to Gus Bradley in Jacksonville, he simply doesn't have the players.

For what it's worth,   former Jaguars DT Tony McDaniel starts for Seattle.
Did anyone in here expect instant results? Rarely happens and we didn't hit that LOTTO. Caldwell and Bradley are attempting a build very similar to Seattle (pretty obvious) and that takes time. Seattle was TERRIBLE for years! The players we let go either a.) Didn't want to stay  B.) Older  C.) There was already a player on the roster younger who could play their position at about the same level. Look, the blowouts suck for sure, but this instant gradification generation needs to slow down. Results will come. This place is going to explode when we changeover a majority of our roster in the offseason again.

Taking nothing away from Poz,   the Seahawks like the way MLB Bobby Wagner has progressed.     Wagner is currently dealing with a high ankle sprain but he looks like a keeper for Seattle.
Teflon Gus and Dave. Say something about those two and you'll be scorned on this board. Not every fan has to agree with how the gm builds the team and how the coach motivates and teaches the team. This team is 0-8 with a point differential of -178. Nothing at this present moment says this team is going in the right direction except a rookie gm and coach's words.

We've heard those words before and nothing came of it but losing. So until progress is made on the field, or at least a little bit I'll be skeptical. The organization has been given this team false hope for a good amount of years now. I'm laying off this year but next year we better show up. No excuses of too many holes to fill in the offseason because I don't believe that one.

You have a valid opinion, of course.  Everything you say here makes sense.   The only problem is that you don't seem to be  considering how drastically  they gutted the roster and what they had to work with once that happened.  They sent 41 guys packing that spent at least 4 games on the active 53 last season.  That's a pretty radical re-boot.

Don't confuse some poster's patience as defense.

I'll say this - If Caldwell/Bradley can't have this squad winning around 6 games next year while looking competitive in most losses  -  I'll be right on board with you. I just seriously think it's too soon to know.
