And as for the Pats, he couldn't beat out Mallet, neither would half the Qb's in the league, and easily nobody on the Jags, so they wouldn't be in the league either. Try to at least be honest about him.Stupid is as stupid does...

Quote:1. The option of the team purchasing the remainder of tickets to avoid a blackout is available to every team. Other teams have utilized this and the Jaguars still outdrew them.
2. Even before Khan purchased the team, the Jaguars have rarely, if ever had league worst attendance, and has been comparable to other markets attendance wise.
3. Corporations also buy tickets for other teams too. Should that be held against them?
How hard is it to see the TV screen??? Its EMPTY... I know I can't argue with ignorant people so u can think what u want to make ur self feel better... It is what it is

1. Tebow was NOT the starter his rookie year until the last two games of the season-long after Denver was out of contention.
2. Tebow was NOT named the starter in his second year until midseason. It's not as if he dominated in training camp and was easily the best QB.
3. The new coach took over in his second year, the same year he had his most extensive playing time.
4. When he became the starter, he went up against a slew of bad teams and was bailed out by his defense many times.
His numbers were pedestrian, to say the least. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/pl...boTi00.htm
In a pass happy league, he could only complete 46.5% of his passes?!? A guy with his mobility got sacked 33 times?!?
5. Because of his underwhelming performance, the coach who went to the playoffs with Tebow, and the GM, who knows something about the QB position, made it a point to trade him away. It speaks volumes that despite the fact the organization spent a first round pick on him just two years earlier, they couldn't wait to get rid of him.
6. The Jets, who spent a 3rd round pick to acquire him and were desperate for improved QB play, saw him practice and kept him on the bench.
7. If he's not good enough to beat out backups in two different places, why should we get him, again?

Don't blame people for no wanting to watch a beating. It started off around 80 - 90% full.

I didn't see any bagged fans, but I did see the idiots with the Tebow signs. Two of them would walk through our area every time something bad would happen. They were trying to hand the signs out, but struggled to find takers.
Everyone understands this is going to be a difficult season, yet the fans are still making there way to the stadium. They may bolt early, but they're still coming out despite seeing 7 wins vs 32 losses over the past three seasons. Yes, there are empty seats, but it's not nearly as bad as we've all seen when watching other games around the league.
These Tebow nimrods fail to recognize that after playing in the league for 4 years for 3 different teams, he's out of the league for a reason. It's partly because of this delusional worshipping his fans bring, but it's almost all about him not being an NFL caliber QB. If they want to worship him, start a church and invite him to be their messiah because the days of Tim Tebow, NFL QB are over.
Fans continue to come for a host of reasons, but most share the hope of better things to come. It's frustrating to be a Jags fan right now, but things will improve.

It's quite difficult for me to see my TV screen...FROM MY SEAT in the stadium.
Who am I to believe? A presumably objective compilation of attendance figures from a known sports authority, or a nameless, faceless guy on the message board who knows someone in a company that somehow gets tickets?

It's willful ignorance that's the trademark of Tebow homers. They love rewriting history.
Elway never committed to him as their long term starter, and was willing to gamble on signing Manning when most thought the neck issues he'd been dealing with were potentially career threatening. That should speak volumes when those paid to evaluate talent would rather roll the dice with a QB who could see his career end because of a known issue than to move forward with a fullback pretending to be a QB.
Elway knows a little bit about the position, and he knew Tebow was limited. That worked out pretty well for them.
The Jets traded for him thinking he could push Sanchez for the starting job. As bad as Sanchez was, Tebow couldn't win the starting job, and even when the lousy starter was injured, they still didn't put Tebow in because they recognized what most people with a functional football IQ see. He's not very good. He can't read a defense to save his life. He's not terribly accurate.
Ryan Mallett is hardly a juggernaut, but as a Tebow homer, you've got to overvalue his abilities in order to explain why your messiah got kicked to the curb.
You homers need tough love. You'd think after bouncing around and eventually getting booted out of the league, it would sink in. But, like your messiah, his slobbering worshippers aren't too bright.

Why must we segregate our fan base? Can't we be fans of this team, and embarrassed that they are so awful?
The bags over the head are a message to the team.

I saw a few baggers in the stadium today.
I also saw a lot of empty seats. But can you blame fans for not wanting to go? Team is garbage.

I didn't tie attendance to the games to fandom, and defy anyone to show me where I did, either in this thread or any other.

Sorry, but the stadium wasn't even remotely close to empty. I was there, and I'm not just trying to make myself feel better about anything. It wasn't a packed hose by any means, but it was a solid crowd for a winless team. Doesn't really matter what you saw on TV.

You're right they send the same message that the Tebow signs do. Like every fan base in the league, we have our fair share of idiots too.

Please, you were touting your superiority because you go to games, whereas the other poster, watched the game on T.V. You may not have spelled it out, but the intent was there

You're right. It couldn't possibly have had anything to do with seeing the entire stadium by being there, which gives an entirely different perspective from the limited view provided by a camera angle. It must just be an uppity season ticket holder claiming superiority.
