I think the main question that has yet to be answered is, are we going to see glittered bagheads or what?

How about a 2-toned bag?

Quote:Which I've recanted and apologized for.

Doesn't seem to stop you from hammering it home, though.

Well don't be an idiot and posters won't have to hammer it home. Maybe next time you'll read what is written. That may help.
Bravo to anyone that shows up at the game, don't care if you wear Bags, Tebow Jersey's the other teams Jersey, nothing at all, whatever, at least they show up and buy tickets.

It's fine that you've recanted.

The fact remains, the stadium wasn't empty as the other poster implied. Anyone who was at the game can confirm this.

Only if there's a vacant bar stool somewhere in New Jersey.
Quote:Yeah, I didn't see where you conveyed that at all.

Unfortunately I can't even see the Jags on television right now.  Would love to make the trip down to Florida for a game (would help convert my kids into Jags fans!) but football season comes at a bad time for me to travel that far.  Definitely hope to show my support when the Jags come up here to face the Redskins next year (just hope it's not a Thursday night game or Sunday Night or Monday Night).

From what I hear though, the attendance issues are greatly exaggerated and I'm glad to hear that Jag fans still show up to support their team.

Thanks for the backup.

Tough that you can't see the games on TV.  No NFL Sunday Ticket?

Attendance isn't ideal, but I think the attendance perception is based upon exaggeration largely.

It looked full in the 1st half when I was watching at the Sports Bar.

Name calling now? Geeze, you weren't even involved.

It is entirely possible to misconstrue that post as how I did, especially since what I assumed it to be has been prevalent on this board for as log as I've been visiting.

I didn't resort to name calling, or berating the poster, so I fail to see how the actions are equal here. All I did was defend fans who are "fans" but may not attend every game, or even agree with every decision the fo makes.

Guess that makes me an idiot.

Right.

I've seen worse crowds at the stadium, to be sure.

Besides, TV doesn't always give you an accurate picture.
No Sunday Ticket.  We have Dish Network because it's cheaper than DirectTV.  And NFL Red Zone and NFL Network is all they have.

I can stream the game online at least.  So I can't complain too much

Quote:You all are idiots. Nuff said. Same goes for all the mindless Tebow fans. A true fan isn't afraid to show their colors.

Does not wearing a bag over your head mean you are showing your "true colors"?

It is a form of fan expression which is highly valid given the stench emitting from Everstank Field.

Yes, you are correct. Now please, read before you accuse someone of doing something.
It is nothing more than the fans' means to show frustration, since the TV cameras can't really capture them had they just been vocal about it.

In regards to the topic, I don't mind it. Jags are playing like crap and today they looked uninspired. Fans have sat through this for a while now. So if you want to wear a bag on your head to show your disdain for the state of the team the go for it.
Quote:How hard is it to see the TV screen??? Its EMPTY... I know I can't argue with ignorant people so u can think what u want to make ur self feel better... It is what it is

Maybe you should try going to a game to see for yourself. It certainly wasn't empty. And we don't need to think anything, I saw it with my own eyes at the game.
I gotta say, this is tough. As a first year season ticket holder, I knew this was going to be a down year. But man, I expected to at least see a touchdown at home! I've been to plenty of games ofer the years but this is the first time I've had a guaranteed seat every Sunday. It's getting tougher and tougher to spend all that money on gas and parking only to get shellacked every single game. I just want to see us be competitive for a game, or even a half, at home.

I feel your pain my friend. I have an almost 4 hr drive one way and Its tough forking out the money to see such a bad team at home, but thats part of being a fan. This is my 11th season as a STH and I will keep coming. It will get better eventually....it has to!
Kudos to those of you who continue to show up and support the team.  I'm hoping to be living in the area by this time next year and plan to do the same.  Might make it to the game vs. Buffalo this year too.

(I've attended 22 or 23 games over the years despite living in New York for the past eleven of them. )

I don't have a problem with people wearing the paper bags.  2-14 last year being followed up with an 0-7 start gives folks plenty to be unhappy about.  I wouldn't do it personally, but I don't think it's a big deal.

Where was it ever announced that we would be playing the Redskins in London next year?
