Does Ace Sanders have a documented history of any prior concussions?
If the answer is no, then there wasn't any additional risk in drafting Sanders, as it pertains to concussions.

Just as there's no need to rush him back from this injury, there's absolutely no reason to rush and put him on the IR.
Yes, there is. To be on the safe side. Last year he rushed back from the first concussion only to quickly get a second one, when even at that time I was calling for him to be sent to IR, to be on the safe side. Concussions are progressive so, that would have been a wise move.
This injury isn't bad, until if he comes back this season and re-aggrivates it/ makes it worse.
Why take that chance in a season where you're already 0-6 and fighting for the #1 draft spot. It would be foolish on all counts.
Send him to IR now, and get him fully healthy for Teddy next year. Thats when we'll really be able to use him.

Not sure if he does or not, but I am sure that his tiny frame is not used to the abuse that you get at this level of football. Concussions would easily be easier to sustain for someone like Ace at this level than college.
Quote:No, it's just your typical cry for attention that has become your signature move. Keeping up that "schtick" of yours.
Just as there's no need to rush him back from this injury, there's absolutely no reason to rush and put him on the IR. The only reason you're praying for this in your little fantasy world where you're the smartest diva in the room is so you can lambaste the pick that you bashed initially, then had to eat a healthy dose of crow over when he actually proved to be better than you thought. Now that he's injured, you're doing your typical bar stool diva maneuver of jumping back over to the other side of a fence so you can start a thread where everyone is paying attention to you.
You're like the queen of the trolls on this board.
Agree 100%.
Hopefully TMD gets a job soon.

Nope. And I'm pretty sure he had no other kinds of injuries at South Carolina either.

NFL is a big step up in ferocity than
college football.
So, when drafting tiny players, this has to be factored/ projected in.

Are you really this dense? I have seen a number of players sustain concussions this year. Players who are way bigger than Ace Sanders. Brandon Meriweather is 4 inches taller and 20lbs heavier and he got one. Eddie Lacy weighs 225 lbs and got one. Concussions happen in football. I thought someone with a high football IQ like yours would know that.
Pls go. You don't stash players for the future. You let them play.

Who said that bigger players also don't sustain them?? No one.
The blunt force of a bigger object hitting a smaller object is going to usually cause more damage to the smaller player, though.....thats common sense. And you're hurling "dense" out at other people, lol.

TMD. How big are you? You seemed to be obsessed with Ace's size for some strange reason.
And 1 injury doesn't make a guy injury prone you're just reaching reeeeally hard to try and make the case that he's injury prone so you can say you were right

Actually it happens a lot in the NFL. ....First year watching?
I hate how our Blackmon/Shorts/Sanders trio is never on the field. I like all three of these guys. Cecil was a little overrated after last year, but he's a damn solid WR, and Blackmon is a future star. Plus Ace has been coming along pretty good for us too, you can tell the guy works his tail off to get better each week, because I've seen progression in his catching and his route running from week to week

That is pretty much all he does

Bigger than Ace. A lot.
Well I guess you'll just have to see it play out for you to be convinced. This isn't rocket science. Tiny players coming into this league are going to face a higher injury risk than bigger players. Its pure physics.

Is that so? Gabbert is wayyyyy more injury prone then someone like oh say Russel Wilson who takes more hits.

I agree. Some people are just plain fragile. Regardless of size. Thats usually the exception to the rule, however.

To be on the safe side...for a shoulder injury....that might keep him out for a week or two. Utterly clueless, or pushing your schtick? Which is it?
Your threads should be taken just about as seriously as anything Omaha puts out there. The only difference is that at least his threads are entertaining. Yours are nothing more than love letters to yourself with the hope people will read it and respond.
"Dear Diva,
You're so smart. If only other people would recognize this and tell me, er, you that it's true.
Love,
Diva"

Two days after the Lions 3rd pre-season game, Lions rookie DE Ziggy Ansah suffered a concussion. It was in practice, not even in a game. Ansah has an ideal frame for a 4-3 DE and had no concussion history. Sometimes even plenty of caution isn't enough to avoid a concussion in football. The good news is Ansah recovered from the concussion and was back in practice 3 days before the regular season opener.

No, he doesn't have a documented history of any significant repetitive injury.
The Diva is just parroting things he's heard in his personal life. Suddenly size matters.

That doesn't sound like a severe concussion or even a concussion at all. Usually for concussions there are baseline tests and the player is out a minimum of a week at least. You may be correct, I'm just saying that situation referenced is a lot different than most concussion instances that I have seen over the years. Could they have prematurely labeled Ansah's issue as a concussion?
