I don't think Cox can cover him. The bigger issue may be the fact that Cox knows Hennes tendencies and will be able to exploit them easily. I predict Cox getting one pick but not necessarily while on Blackmon. I know, big stretch right? Pick/Henne same sentence and all.

I don't think anyone can cover him 1 on 1. Maybe Talib. ....maybe.
Quote:Andrew Luck is the closest to Bridgewater of all those you mentioned. Thats the experts saying that too, not me.
still waiting to know who these "experts" are tbh :whistling:

go over to the College football forum and read any Teddy thread. There are plenty of links with quotes comparing Bridgewater favorably to Luck.

been there, havent seen any "experts" make that comparison, ive seen numerous posters overrating teddy though. so tell me who these experts are....
Oh look - another Teddy thread hijack. Over it.

Theres 2 posts above ^^^ 21, 22 that are clearly Blackmon posts. Instead of complaining, contribute to that discussion. Make it interesting.

Yeah - and NINE posts about Bridgewater, Luck and Stafford. I am contributing.

My interesting contribution is that I'm completely over seeing

Teddy flippin' Bridgewater in EVERY SINGLE THREAD.

I can complain about that if I feel like it. It's lame.

lol telling people to contribute. still waiting for you to defend your claim bro :whistling:
NYC, I guess I just handle that stuff different than you. Instead of crying about it, I go to a post in the thread that contains stuff that interests me and then respond to that - hence generating a new direction.

Yeah, I'm crying about it, TMD. That's it.

You can justify hijacking threads all you want, I don't have to like it. I don't enjoy reading the same stupid teddy debates over and over again in threads about current Jaguars.

It's called relevancy.
i guess im never getting those "experts" huh tmd. man tbh i was really looking forward to it.

In the last 2 posts, you have had the opportunity to generate more Blackmon (topical) talk, to help get the thread going in the direction you want it to get back on. Yet you have not. You are choosing to complain about the same thing, instead....whats that accomplish? Not bashing you - u are usually a good poster, just discussing.

I'd love for someone to continue further the discussion post I made about Blackmon in post 22 in response to Jagwired's post 21...yet I am still waiting.

Quote:trunt87 take: No!! put all of our players in and win those 2 or 3 meaningless games, baybee!! I want to miss out on the top pick and have the Jags be mediocre for another decade!!!

Yeah, because I'm sitting in N.J. on my couch watching the Jags having nothing invested in the game in Jacksonville. For all the 60,000 other people who are actually at the game spending money, they should also hope the Jags lose so they can look forward to the next game to lose. Don't worry about the $250 you spent, you might get good someday because the #1 pick is so much more of a sure thing than the #3 pick. SMH!
1. - I hope Justin plays.

2. - I hope he gets to burn Cox a few times.

3. - Cox very well could come away with a pick vs Henne the interception machine.

(Henne is due one of those games where he shows his true colors - though I hope he doesn't)

4. - Looks like we might see a Blackmon, Brown, S. Williams, Ebert lineup at WR this week. That could help Cox in his quest.

5. There are few CB's that could cover Blackmon well one on one - and certainly not Cox.

2, Almost a certainty.

3. probable.

4. I actually like Brown. Just seems to have a knack for getting open/ making the catch.

5. maybe Talib. I wouldn't even list Revis at this point, post injury.

I'd just like to add to this that I could see Cox actually get injured this week vs Blackmon. Cox always was injury prone and this is going to be a very demanding test for him.

Quote:I am not acting like Stafford is a bad QB. I didn't mean to imply that. I think Stafford is really good. But he has lead his team to one playoff appearance.

If we get Bridgewater the same thing could happen. We could have a really good QB and still not make the playoffs.

True, but it certainly increases our chances of fielding a playoff contender with a good QB.

Personally, I can't and won't ever consciously cheer for my team to lose, regardless of the circumstances, but I am a huge fan of the Bucs and the Giants and any of the other bottom feeders right now.

I like him too. He definitely flashed some ability vs. Denver. He's likely not 100% healthy and still looked pretty capable. If Blackmon is doubled this week - he may capitalize.

I was a bit curious about what the coaches had seen to keep him after camp - now we know.

The other WR, Burton actually also looked okay as well, when he was in there a few weeks back.

Too bad he's concussed as well. They'll have to elevate Ebert or the other new kid, Lamaar Thomas, to the roster from the PS this week.
