best of luck in his life...he has played his last game for the Jaguars!

Lowery was a seasoned vet... Knocked out by a WR, who clocked him.

Relax, dude.  You incorrectly assumed the intent of my initial post. I didn't like the implication.   It'll be OK.   You and I have always been friendly here - no need to start being petty now.

I really like Lowery, but will be good to let Evans get more reps. Putting a player on IR for concussion after game 5? Either it is a REALLY bad concussion or they have decided to move on. After what I have seen from guys like Marks and Blackmon, I am not ready to second guess the roster moves. They are finding some good players.

Quote:Will Allen was realesed by Dallas today. We could pick him up just for insurance he is a verteran saftey who could help the younger players.

Um, the objective here should be Bridgewater, not winning meaningless games in a season that we started 0-5 in....

Quote:Did you think we were trading him?

Was he on the block?

I was hoping we were going to trade him, yes.

The more picks the better.

you really think adding 1 safety is going to win us multiple games?

at this point, I am so exhausted by this franchise that I don't want to risk ANY-thing that might help this team win a few more meaningless games in the 2nd half of season and ruin our chances for a special franchise QB like Bridge.

Bridge = putting us right there with the Colts for the next decade.

don't get too worked up yet.  bridgewater hasn't even completed his draft workouts yet.  we can lose with the best of them, bring it on eli and ben!

Bridgewater might not even be the best QB in this class.  Nobody knows how this guy will play under pressure or against a real defense.  Outside from the Gators game he hasn't been challenged.  I hope we win as many games as possible.

Is it just me - or is every other thread turning into this ^ lately?

Save it for the college forum guys.... Please.    :thanks:

Take a deep breath, the mere possibility adding a Will Allen caliber player is not a risk to your need to tank.

I on the other hand actually want to see some wins or at least see the team be competitive. But I know with the talent we have right now at the most important position it isn't likely.

Agreed, this guy acts like if we don't get Teddy this franchise has no future.  Teddy is a question mark and far from a HOF lock.  Teddy would be nice but as long as Caldwell has good drafts year in and year out and picks the right QB we will be fine.  I would like to win a few games myself.

my thoughts exactly.  i had to double check this thread was about lowery.

i have no issues with lowery and have never really called him out for missed assignments or blown coverage, but he doesn't fit in this youth movement.  i hope he gets a chance to play on a team that is competing, if he can rehab properly.

the issue with lowery is concusions, right?  ouch.

It's not like Lowery is old, he just can't stay on the field.

Why don't we trade every player we have that is trade-able and hold an open practice for fans to take their place.  I mean, that would definitely guarantee Bridgewater.  You should make a call or something.

I can't remember if he had a prior concussion. Seems like he did - but I can't recall.

Looked it up  -  Lowery was tested for concussion in 2011.  Held out of practice - but played in the next game. Last year was a foot/ankle injury that held him out around 4 weeks( I think. )

if you are over 25 and have injury issues, you don't fit into the team's philisophy of going younger.  the idea is to amass as many players as possible with the most potential or the highest ceiling.  lowery's floor is alright, you know what you get when he can play, but he isn't going to be top 5 in the league any more.
I'm excited to watch Josh Evans get better
