So far Miller has been somewhat of a disappointment for Miami, given the expectations, and MoJo is possibly gone after the season....

The OC, Fisch is familiar with Miller from his days with the Hurricanes, and thus I think Miller has experience running behind a ZBS.

Since Miami is in "win now" mode might this be a trade worth exploring?

Id rather get a pick

SInce Miller is only like 23, or 24 it would be like using the pick on a RB.

Im saying I would rather draft a different RB.

Miller might be a good fit here, though....as said with the Fisch thing as well as the ZBS experience.

No.

Aside from not being a fan of Miller, I think Caldwell and Bradley would both lose tons of credibility in the locker room if they made it a point to sit MJD and Poz down and assure them they aren't shopping them and turn around and trade him a week later.

Granted, many of the guys wouldn't be around to remember what was said in a year or two, but still...some would, word gets around and it would erode organizational credibility.

Free agents who might be inclined to come here would have one more thing to reconsider.

The return wouldn't be worth the potential harm.
Lololol. Implying Miami would trade an unknown bulldozer with 4.4 speed for an aged, injured end of contract RB? Okie.
Another day .....another trade thread.

He said this year.

Obviously he was talking THIS year.

MJD's contract expires after this year.

Trading him this year after assuring them they wouldn't be traded this year would hurt the organization's credibility, even with that caveat attached.

Well then maybe that was another stupid move by Caldwell. Whats the benefit of keeping MoJo and Poz around for the rest of the year and not trying to get something for them when they clearly aren't part of the rebuilding.

Caldwell is starting to look more and more over his head with every move/ decision/ statement that comes out of his mouth

"unknown bulldozer"?

What the hell are you talking about?

You don't know anything about the player you are commenting on I am guessing. Not only is he not a "bulldozer" - Daniel Thomas actually would fit that description more aptly than Miller, but Miller is hardly "unknown" to Miami - he's been there 2 years and they've been trying to get him to seize the feature-back role this season, but it hasn't taken hold as of yet. They could be starting to get impatient.
dolphins run zbs also so i doubt itll be an upgrade for us.

Alright TMD follow me here.

You made a thread saying that MJD is done. Now how do you suppose Miami would perceive his trade value if he's so clearly done, but Miller is "like using a pick on a RB"?

I was more talking about Poz but I know what you mean.  I hope he trades or cuts Poz at the end of the year.
How is Miami in "Win now" mode?

yeah, I have never seen Miller bulldoze anybody

Ahh.

As for Poz...I'd like to see him stay at a lower cap figure, if it can be worked out.  I think he'll be cut before he's traded though.

Why would Miami do this?  They arent in a "win now" mode enough right now to pull this trade off.

They would give up their number one running back who could end up being pretty good for a guy who has a contract thats expiring.  While it would be great for the Jags, Miami wouldnt agree with it.
Miami would die laughing if Caldwell called and proposed this trade. No chance in hell.
