Quote:Yeah, thats kinda what I was thinking regarding the first sentence....

If I had to sleep at the YMCA, I would probably consider myself homeless.
Quote:Not to get into politics too much, but its hilarious how people like you complain about less fortunate people going to school for free, and if they didnt you would call them lazy bums and tell them to go find an actual job.

Glad I dont live in Florida where these type of people run amuck.
Yes, because the people who may have similar views arent all over the US.

You would think someone that is chastising someone for their views wouldnt send a pot shot at the entire state of Florida.

Would you rather me say south? Ok, Im glad I dont live in the south. For what its worth Florida is probably the most reasonable of all the southern states.

I love the South wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Edit: Maybe the Midwest, I've always thought Wyoming, Nebraska, Idaho, Dakota's and Washington area's looked amazing.

When I stayed there, a questionaire asked how I knew or heard about the YMCA. I answered... The Village People. They told me to leave.

Anyway.. Just because a person is über rich, a la , Khan, does not mean they don't get embarrassed. If he isn't at how this team is being made fun of, he should be. Then again, he has soccer.
He's got 3+ billion dollars and making millions off of this investment... I'm sure he's embarrassed all the way to the bank...
Quote: is as embarrassed about this team(?) as most Jag fan's are????????

Well only 31 people on Earth can give him **** about it.
Quote:Why would a Jags fan be embarrassed about this team? Seriously. I know they're bad, but we aren't responsible.

In fact, maybe we should be proud. Not proud of the team, proud of ourselves. It's a heck of a lot harder to be a Jags fan than to be a Broncos fan. So why would a Broncos fan be proud? He isn't even remotely responsible for the Broncos being a great team. All he does is buy a ticket. What's so hard about that? Now we, on the other hand, continue to support a team that is one of the worst in recent memory. That's hard to do. We should be prouder as fans than any other fans.

Well said^^
At one point in my life. I slept in a dirt pile and yes up north. And showered at the Y or Mayflower. It is not fun being thrown out. I also had two fulltime jobs. Shelters told me no bed available for me. And both jobs were minimum wage. So hotels were out of my league.

However I worked my tail off. Have a Computer Networking degree, a nice home. Which I told people coming to Jacksonville which I did. And nothing ever was to much for me to over come. It is those who work harder regardless of situation. That are the real American stories.
PS courtesy of ticket office. Me my wife and my son be at the stadium for the Chargers game. Rooting the Jags on. And love this disgrace that we find lucky to have a stadium and watch our great team. It is not just the game itself. It is the things my son can do before the game starts. And the great people we can meet. And Jaxson De'Ville crazy entrance. And cheering with all the great fans.

Some forget how lucky we are to have a game to see. Where thousands of other cities do not. And Jacksonville has treated me and my family like were here from the beginning.

If the team is that much of a embarrassment to you. Then leave. There are plenty like me and my family. That are Duval til we die. And true Jags fans. 0-16 or winning the Superbowl.

Ok....so they wouldn't kick him out if they noticed he wasn't waiting for any buses and just loitering?
I for one am embarrassed. I'm embarrassed for the fans who put there hard earned money into this team year in and year out and have to watch this team regress into one of the worst teams ever in the history of the NFL over the last 5 years.  We have to watch  ESPN, NFL, CBS, NBC and all the other outlets use us as the but of their jokes. You say "why do we care what the media says" but it hurts and you know it. At first it was easy to take because we had hopes of coming back up quick but it has drug on for years now and has reached epic proportions.  Yes I think that the team is headed in the right direction , and yes I believe in building through the draft but it still doesn't make this season easy to swallow or the last few.  I will support as long as there is NFL football in my home city and I can't wait to be good again but right now it's definitely EMBARRASSING and anyone who says it is not is in denile.

Embarassed.... that's a negative Ghost Writer

Not like a grave. Lol.

good one.
No product just an empty stadium would be more embarrassing. But since Jags going to no other location. You don't have any thing to be embarrassed about. Do you get embarrassed if lose in fantasy football or madden?

You put your time and effort into that as well. But still play. I know I do. One of my leagues have the worst team. The other have the best. But it is all enjoyment. But I agree stinks to lose.
Quote:At one point in his life he was working as a dishwasher and lived in a bus station. I doubt owning a bad NFL team is that embarassing for him.

Perspective.  If this season surprises or disappoints people...I have no idea what they were hoping for.

I haven't ridden in a bus in years, but the last time I did it was an 18 hour trip from 12 noon to 6 the following morning, and we stopped at at least two major terminals that were open overnight.

Hurts what? Your feelings? Grow up.

I don't care what the media says and I don't know why you would either.
