Ruh-Roh Raggy!  He said SHOULD.  Not will.  Reading between the coach speak, of which I'm fluent, it means that he his career is over.  And we will be signing Guy Whimper in the offseason to replace him.  Also #becausejaguars we will also retain Brad Meester, who he has said absolutely nothing about not being there.

Joeckel was absolutely stonewalling Quinn last night.

Quote:Because it's a bigger deal for a 6'6 325 pound man to recover from lower body injuries, esp when your feet are maybe the biggest asset to a lineman other than brute strength ... You little 5'8 160 pounders have it much easier

Thats what I was thinking....

I guess they won't know if there was any collateral ligament damage also until he goes under the knife?....

Really? I'm 6'1, 235. I have been through many lower body injuries. I know a little about it. Care to source where a bone heals slower for a larger person?

I call bull caca.

They will know well before that point IF/and when he goes under the knife. They will do a (or another) MRI once the swelling subsides and then make a determination of the extent of the damage. Bone breaks heal very predictably as far as a time frame goes.

I guess you missed the part where he said it is unknown if surgery will be needed.

Why do they have to wait for the swelling to go down?

Because Luke said he does not know a timeline, my guess is he will need surgery.
Because the accuracy of an MRI and the amout of swelling of the injured area are inversely proportional.

He be fine

Cajun boiled peanuts any one ?

Didn't MTD say he ran up the back leg of Luke?

You know there's broken (as in cracked but still together) and

BROKEN...as in separated and you got to pin the dang thing back. Which is it?

oops
why does everybody need a gif under their name?

Who is MTD?

He was hit from the right side, not the back. Somebody needs to watch replays.

There are five types of fractures: stress, greenstick, chipped, complete, and compound. Stress and greenstick fractures don't require surgery. Complete fractures are often, but not always, displaced - meaning one fragment moves away from the other or they move in opposite directions. When a piece of bone is chipped off or pierces the skin it requires surgrey. Because it is unknown if surgery will be required, I think it is a complete fracture.

You can ignore the gifs by clicking on the gray X in the upper right corner of the signature field. I use that for all signatures I don't like, not just the gifs.

because contrary to popular opinion, THEY are really the people on this forum that scream: "LOOK AT MEEE!!!!!"

But why on Earth would Bradley say that unless there was a chance that Joeckel wouldn't be ready for offseason next spring?  And why would he specify offseason next spring unless there's a chance Joeckel won't be ready until after?  And why on Earth would he say "definitely" unless there's a question of doubt about the chances of a definite recovery?

Thanks for the tip, JW.  I didn't realize that was selectable.  Animated gifs now turned off.
I don't get it. What is wrong with answering the question, "Will you be ready next season?" preemptively.  This is silliness
